One's gender might be fluid when the symptoms kick in. It could also be a gender where the disorder is trapped down to the point where it's hard to separate the two from each other or a gender where someone's gender is connected to being obsessive. Another definition could be that the disorder has taken over or filled the area where the gender should have been. This can also cause frequent episodes of losing one's gender.
