in true swtor fashion, something had to break - and unfortunately for me, it was my adds on apex. their spawns were fuuuuucked tonight and i very much had to improvise most of the fight, but it worked out in the end since we one-shot everything! >:3c

I've been trying to get this timer for A While - Snorks decided to go to EC after we kept struggling on Styrak, but Esseles Prog got it tonight! ahhhhhh I'm So happy???

goddamn body type hitboxes

that the issue I was having on NiM Storm/Fire was because Synnda is a body type 3 male, but I didn't have anyone I could test it with since he's my only Impside bt3 assassin/shadow

the issue: I've noticed on all of my other tanks, while tanking Firebrand, it does an annoying knockback occasionally. whatever, it's part of the mechanic. I just need to reposition and hope I don't get knocked off the tank, and if I do just hop back on quick before a spire lands on my head

...except Synnda Never got knocked. ever. same ability tree, same gear, same everything - until I realized he was the only bt3 male I'd tried it on. others I'd tried: Azan (bt3 female), Liakige/Veira/Raphios (bt2 male), Leo/Kavaari (bt2 female)

so I made a quest to test it out. I made Andur on Star Force - specifically Andur bc 1) bt3 male shadow 2) he's my favorite Exarch <333

started out as:

we got to Storm/Fire, things are going fine

I discover I Am Not getting knocked back

then seemingly out the blue about 20 seconds into the fight

Me: "IT *IS* A BODY TYPE ISSUE FUCK YOU SWTOR"

que my co-tank and Gham fucking Losing It because this has been bugging me for literal months to the point I made a toon for the sole purpose of running my own test

whyyyyyy is this a thing aaaaaa😭

I'd like to test it on both bt4, but don't have any who are Impside sin/shadow, so I'll need to wait until I can buy another slot to level one of each for more tests

so.

Snorks has been progging EC, we're trying to clear Kephess so we can try for timer

we've normally been able to get to Kephess pretty easily, but

things have been desync-y AF the last two days during raid time???

we never have issues with Minefield, but got stuck on it both nights for the following reasons:

-circles not appearing when we reached Vorgath, and they'd one-shot people

-invisible assassin droids

-I run tower for that team so I don't have The Best view of what's happening on the minefield, but it looked like assassins were acting weird in general on a few pulls

-multiple freezes/disconnects and my sound deciding not to work. Daph and I froze at the same time tonight and both had to restart, our healer DC'ed mid-pull, a few of us had to alt+f4 because it was so bad

-TWO PROBE DROIDS SPAWNING AT THE SAME TIME?????? they proceeded to ping-pong the group between them before murdering them. we asked a bunch of people and none of them have ever seen that happen in ANY mode

-we had a bad pattern at one point so I called to stuck it. I jumped down from the tower into the minefield and got yeeted back up into the tower. I proceeded to be bugged out for everyone for the entirety of the next pull (floating way up in the air before sinking into the ground constantly). we figured it was because the elevator came up under my dead body and moved me, and I think it caused issues with healers being able to hit me because I felt like I was mostly only getting AOE heals for that pull

-Vorgath ignoring tanks even after taunts went out - we know he has a threat-drop mechanic, but he was ignoring us ENTIRELY for one pull and was killing everyone else

there's others, but those are the ones I remember off the top of my head. wth
