“Hold on, we’re coming” with Logicality
I made it human!au, and also autistic!logan. I hope thats okay! You can always send in another, more specific request if this didn’t do it for ya. (unbeta’d)
“And completely ruined the carpet to boot!” Patton laughs as Roman finishes the story of his latest attempts at painting.
The friend’s conversation is paused by Patton’s phone chiming. Glancing down at the device Patton sees a text from Logan.
LoLo (3:47pm) I believe I am having a meltdown, evidenced by the occurrence of SIB. I apologize for the inconvenience but assistance would be greatly appreciated.
QPPatton (3:48pm) Hold on, we’re coming
Patton’s demeanor quickly slides from amusement to concern.
“Lo’s having a hard time, I need to go home, do you want to come?” Patton asks already standing
“Certainly. this will not stand, we must defeat his troubles!” Roman says
It takes seven minutes to walk from the park to their apartment. Seven minutes for Patton to plan and worry. Logan always apologized for asking Patton’s help when he perceived him to be busy. He shouldn’t Patton had long since happily agreed to be both Logan’s partner and caregiver. Patton had a fair bit of experience dealing with Logan’s meltdowns at this point, and the SIB that often happened alongside. Logan would need quiet, and some alternate stim, if he wasn’t too touch averse pressure would be good.
QPPatton (3:54pm) Do you have your headphones?Patton sends the text just as they reach the apartment building. Quickly unlocking the door and starting up the stairs. By the time Patton's phone dings in response the pair have reached his apartment.LoLo (3:57pm) No, I am not very able to move at the moment“Lo!” Patton calls into the dim apartment “We’re here,”
Theres no response, but Patton hadn’t expected one. With a concerned Roman at his side Patton continues further into the apartment, pushing forward into the bedroom. Logan is not immediately visible, but Patton quickly finds his hiding spot in the bottom of the closet.
“Hey Lo love, can I come in?” Patton asks, watching tensely as Logan knocks against his skull
Logan nods and Patton quickly crawls into the closet in front of him. Glancing up at Roman he mouths ‘headphones’ Roman nods and steps away quietly.
Patton smiles over at Logan “Can I squish you?”
Logan nods lowering his arms to look at Patton. Shuffling forward he wraps his arms around the other, maneuvering so that he's sitting on top of Logan’s legs, his arms are threaded under Logans, palms spread firmly against his back.
After a minute there’s a soft sound as Roman returns, clearing his throat. “I have your headphones if you want them Logan,”
Logan jerks his head roughly tugging on Pattons shirt, prompting the other to sit up enough for Roman to hand off the headphones and Logan to slip them on. Visible relief passes over his face once the headphones are on and a soft sigh escapes.
“Want to stay here or move?” Patton asksLogan pushes at Patton in answer
“Move it is, up we get,” Patton smiles tumbling out of the closet
Logan shuffles over to their bed and sits on it, swinging his legs up and scooting back to be pressed against the wall. Patton climbs on after him, and Roman takes up vigil on the desk-chair. As Patton moves to resume ‘squishing’ position Logan tugs on his shirt.
“What? Oh you don’t like my shirt?” Patton asks
“Off it goes then,” Patton says cheerily, uncaring as he discards the garment.
“Thank you,” Logan says softly after several minutes
“Of course Lolo, you’re feeling better?” Patton says, leaning off slightly to press a kiss into Logans hair
“Sorry I disturbed your outing,”
“I don’t mind, do you mind Ro?”
“Not at all, glad to be of service,”
“See you haven’t disturbed anything. How do you feel about watching a movie?” Patton asks softly running a hand through Logan’s hair gently
“Great! Lets go then,” Patton says snatching up the soft blanket from the end of the bed. “To the living room we good, movies and cuddles,”
“Yes! Onward, to a peaceful afternoon,” Roman says springing from his seat
Logan smiles softly. This is caring at its kindest, friendship at its fullest. This must be what happiness, no, love is.
