Life had a good way of picking on her. Karin had been though so much she could write a book about it and it'd do fairly well. Still, she wasn't dead, so there was still much to do in this life right?

She returned to Kusagakure after the war, bidding goodbye to her life with Sasuke and Taka. She hated that village, but it was a chance to change things for the better for once. She opened her own practice as a doctor. It didn't take long for her help to be invaluable either. She was the best that Kusa now had to offer.

But even when things were good, life found a way to throw a wrench in the works, and it came in form of Orochimaru visiting. The nurse at the front desk left to give the two some privacy.

"Orochimaru-sama..." She greeted

Tenya didn't like that response. He could tell there was a lot more that she was holding back on. Tsuyu is normally direct and to the point, it's not like her to be so nonchalant about it.

"Tsu, if there's anything you need to talk about, I'll listen." He replied.

"I don't like seeing my friends suffering, so please don't feel like you have to pretend for my sake."

Kyosuke jumps turning around to face the sannin with wide eyes. Forcing himself to relax as weary eyes regard the snake. He was hoping he wouldn't have to see the sannin again for awhile after the war. "...Why do you want to know that?" He asks as steadily as he could. Was this about Sasuke?

Of course, she was an outlier after all that's happened to her. Stripped of her status, she wasn't an espada according to everyone else.

"I'm not a threat, if that's your concern." She answered. "You and I haven't spoken before, but we-..." A pause. "We were comrades in arms once." She told him.

"Ah, it was fine. Nothing special. I mean I did go trick-or-treating for a bit but it wasn't anything as big as last year." But her costume was one of the things that was fun to wear, even if it wasn't as scary as the one last year. "I went as a cat."
