I just read your post about how you felt about beyonce/nicki and most R&B/music artists. I agree with you. It's one of the many reasons why I don't care for a lot of Korean girl groups. I also just checked out your recommendation for Jhené Aiko - Souled Out. This is AMAZING music! Thank you so much for sharing it!

True, that’s the main reason why I’m not really into a lot of girl groups either. There’s a lot of repetitive musical melodies and themes in girl group songs, and I’m just tired of listening to the same shit over and over again, you know? That’s also the reason why I’m falling off from K-POP in general. A lot of the music is recycled bubble gum pop that’s created just to get radio time. You know, artists like Rap Monster and the BTS crew, besides their title songs, don’t make music for the radio (i.e. RM mixtape). They make the music that they want, and they write the lyrics that they believe in; that kind of authenticity is missing from a lot of K-POP groups.

I’m really glad you like her music! My favorite songs from that album are W.A.Y.S., Spotless Mind, Wading, Eternal Sunshine, and Promises. You should listen to all of her stuff! She’s mainly known for her Sailed Out EP (perhaps you’ve heard this song called The Worst), and her Sailing Souls mixtape is pretty popular too. She’s such a sweetheart and her music really reflects who she is as a person. Her lyrics are so real and raw, and her voice is so unique in this generation of R&B. She is the only female artist right now that I could listen to over and over again without wanting to rip my ears out; she’s just so soothing to listen to, you know?
