my headcanon is that savers is followed by xroswars and then followed by ghost game. This Au takes many years after the events of xros wars and taiki and the gang have died and only shoutmon remains from the "old world". Shoutmon gave his thrown to quantumon and is sort of a hermit wandering the digital world alone, kinds like alphamon.
he's super depressed due to taiki and his friends death and is sort of a happy go lucky mysterious individual. Most of the residents of the digital world don't remember him other than some old digimon.
He gets sadder everyday because he can't help the digital world because intervening will cause Hiro and friends unable to save the digital world ( he can't mess with fate and destiny)
When Hokuto and terriermon assistant get lost in the dark area zwerver guides them because hokuto gives taiki vides and he can't turn his back on them.
