Quick story time. 26 years ago my wife & I both worked at @Zumiez. At two different malls, but it is still where we met. Yesterday I got a text from my nephew, who I just found out now works at #Zumiez & he sent these pictures and said “hey uncle, we got some new boards, is this your work, it looks like it?”. Yep, definitely mine, from collaboration with @OmenBoards & @soulriders_shop. Back when I was working there (26 years ago) I drew a few designs for some skateboard art competition that Zumiez had. The winner would have their art printed on boards. Well, I didn’t even place in that competition, but I’m stoked now that they carry boards I’ve designed now & I’m stoked my nephew is probably building similar memories that I have a nostalgic fondness for. Thought that was a pretty cool ‘full-circle’ kind of story to share with ya.
