screaming at the top of my lungs jerejean greek creek au?????? please TELL ME EVERYTHIIIIIING
ask me about my wips
hehehe hi mari :)
i posted the most solid snippet i have so far here but i’ll talk a lil more about it
jeremy is a witch in this au. he was initially in the wilshire pack, where he was miserable, but then his pack bonds broke after noah’s death and he almost went magic feral until he was able to form a tether with cat and laila. his mom is in denial about all of this and still acts like jeremy is one of the family witches
jean was a beta in the raven pack (the secondary moriyama pack), which uh, was very Not Good for him and the whole getting tortured by riko thing almost made him go omega and it was only being rescued by renee, whose cross then became his tether, that spared him that. anyways another snippet:
Kevin was not his mate, but once upon a time Jean would have done anything for him regardless.
Renee, too, was not his mate, but something close. A tether of sorts, keeping him from losing his mind. Maybe something more, had Jean been able to stay in Palmetto. But he couldn’t. It was too close to everything, and Renee knew it too.
“Maybe in another life,” she said to him with a sad smile, and then she let him go to California, with nothing of hers on him but her cross.
Jeremy is not an option. If only Jean’s stupid wolf understood that.
hello my lovely! adding to the wip wednesday madness 🤭 if you're not swamped with asks again i'd love to request a little guardian angel au :) GOOD LUCK and thank youuuuuu x
WIP Wednesday (5/15) | Guardian Angel Neil AU (Part 188)
The four of them spend half the night drinking, a couple of them getting straight up plastered— ahem, Aaron and Kevin. Andrew stays mostly sober and skips his night dose so he can drive them home. When they get back to the house, Andrew makes sure everyone else is horizontal and goes out to smoke and decompress before bed.
After a moment of sitting there, something comes over him and he takes off down the porch steps to wander into the yard. It takes him a moment to realize that he’s looking for something. A calico cat named Kitty, to be exact. Neil had said it lives under the neighbor’s porch. The house on the right has a brick foundation and nowhere for a cat to go.
So Andrew starts left, towards their mean, older neighbors’ house. He creeps closer and closer, finally squatting by the porch to peer through the broken lattice. A cat could fit through there, he thinks. He clears his throat.
“Kitty? Here, kitty, kitty. Come here.” Andrew says softly. When nothing appears, he flicks his lighter trying to spread some light under the porch. But he still doesn’t see anything. Well, damn. He was hoping to meet Neil’s other friend. Maybe get it some food if it’s hungry.
Oh well.
Andrew finishes his cigarette, puts it out on the side of the porch, and drops the butt before heading back inside. As he starts to go up the stairs, something on the kitchen counter catches his eye. It’s the huge, gaudy plastic jack o'lantern Nicky dug out last weekend so they could set it up for trick-or-treaters. Beside it lies a couple of big bags of fun size candies.
Andrew detours into the kitchen, opening both bags and dumping them into the pumpkin. Then he grabs its handle and goes out the back door. On the back porch, no neighbors will be able to judge him for smoking and eating his weight in pilfered candy at two am. The back porch is seldom used, so his chair needs dusting out. But he figures his ass will dust it, so he sits down with the bucket in his lap.
He unwraps a Snickers and pops it into his mouth, gnashing on it like some sort of beast. It’s funner that way, he thinks. As soon as he’s swallowed, he grabs another and does the same thing. Then he lights another cigarette. As he wonders how much he can eat without pissing Nicky off, there’s a flicker. And then Neil is in the chair next to him. Andrew jolts and drops his cigarette.
hiya :) i'm absolutely losing my mind looking for this fic , thank u in advance for ur help!!
so i read it on ao3 years ago, i'm pretty sure it was multiple chapter and quite long. it was set quite some time after the war. i don't quite remember how h and d connect again, but the main thing i recall is this - draco is super scholarly and getting a phd in like a combination of a muggle and magical field of study? i think it might've been transfiguration and physics?
i vividly remember a final scene that is harry coming to draco's phd defence, where draco showed that he had found a way to transform into multiple animagus forms. i can't remember any of the animagus forms but i think there were at least three??
ik this isn't a lot to go on, but i rly hope u can help <333
We believe you are looking for Inevitable (From The Very Start) by onbeinganangel (55k, E)
Don’t forget to bookmark, leave kudos and comments!
It was what Draco needed, though. Draco needed small, he needed cosy, domestic, quaint. Maybe he wouldn’t see it like that, at the start.
But Pansy knows Draco better than she knows herself. And beyond that wall of ice and mean demeanour, Draco is a soft man that needs gentleness. Godric’s Hollow will be good.
Potter will be good.
Potter will be good, granted they don’t kill each other within the first few minutes of their surprise encounter, of course.

I was going to do a longer introduction but really I can't tease the people like that. That would be quite rude of me!
This, my friends, is the gorgeous embroidery hoop I commissioned from @onbeinganangel!!!!
Okay you have the goods now, read ahead if you're ready for Danni babbling.
Yesterday morning, I got an email from our apartment's Amazon hub that I had a package ready for pickup. And since I knew exactly what it was, I was annoyed (cuz it's early and I'm at work and I have to wait) and excited (cuz MY HOOP!!!!!)
After work, I rushed home, ran to the hub, grabbed my treasure, and pranced back to my apartment. You know, carefully. I wasn't sure how delicate I needed to be and I was risking this hoop for nothing!
Above pictures is what I found inside the box. My hoop carefully and beautifully wrapped in tissue, and a sweet note!
And if you know me at all, you'll know I was too excited to rip right into it. I don't know if anyone else deals with this, but my excitement levels get so high I just don't know what to do with myself! Have to smile and shriek and dance a bit. Shake out all those nerves! Breathe a bit (because oxygen is important.) (That's what I'm told anyway.)
Once I had my wits about me, I very carefully peeled back the tissue and beheld my beautiful hoop!
And started crying, of course.
(If you know me at all, that won't surprise you, either.) (Overactive tear ducts, I swear to Merlin.) (Or maybe that's just me being overemotional...either way 🤷♀️)
It was in early November that I reached out to Mari. She had posted about making sure she could get commissions done in time for Christmas, and while I didn't need anything by Christmas, it did prompt me to think "hey...maybe I could commission something!"
If you've not seen Mari's embroidery, you should definitely check it all out! (Conveniently: click here.) Her work is gorgeous, and it's extra special to have another craft used for fandom purposes! Fan writing? Great! Fan art? Great! Fic binding? Oh cool! Fan embroidery???? Oh god I'm in love. (Also Mari writes, so here's her AO3.) (We have to stan a multi-talented queen.)
I was a wee bit nervous, because I've always been hesitant to ask about commissions from people who I don't know are okay with Snarry. My OTP is so controversial to others, but so beloved to me, and so I rarely reach out, but...I don't know. I couldn't help it! It seemed like too cool an opportunity to not try for, and Mari seemed so sweet so I figured if she let me down, she'd do so gently!
...because obviously I'm going to commission Snarry things. Much as I love other ships, if I'm spending my hard earned money, it's going to be Snarry. 😍
As you can see: it was not a problem!
What I most wanted was a piece for my pride and joy, Contempt. I wiffle-waffled a bit. I thought Orange Blossoms might have better imagery for embroidery, but I already had a fanart done for Orange Blossoms, and while more is more...I really, really in my heart needed a physical representation of my beloved Contempt.
I felt a bit bad about the timing and assured her I didn't need it by Christmas and to prioritize Christmas projects (even though I was quite eager for this!) Like: "I saw your post about Christmas commissions but...this is not for Christmas!" Anyway between the Snarry worries and timing guilt and my anxiety...that should tell you how much I wanted this piece! And let me tell you, it was worth fighting anxiety for!!
The other tricky part of commissions is me trying to give creators an idea to work with, while also stressing that I value their creative input more than my own vision. Everyone is different; more details are useful for some while others enjoy the creative freedom more. (So of course I fretted about that, too.) But generally I am drawn to creators for their own skill and creativity and want as much of themselves in there as possible! I have so much respect and admiration for other creators!! And why I want so dearly to support them however I can! (And to also selfishly benefit from it, not gonna lie.) (Look at this thing!)
What I gave Mari to work with were primarily the quotes. Both are spoken by Harry in the work, though in separate portions of the fic. I wasn't sure how weird that would be, but I don't know...they go so well together and really sort of sum the whole story up! My ultimate love/hate endeavor!
As for the imagery, I had suggestions for that, too: the door to Snape's quarters have "serpents entwined with ivy and dahlias" and there are moments in the story where other flowers are given, those being white gardenias and forget-me-nots. Between my personal love of flowers and animals, as well as my great love for symbolism, and the role they all play in the story...well, I'm glad they all fit in! (Also, Mari is a champ for listening to all my rambling about symbolism and vibes haha!)
From one of our email exchanges, I mentioned: "It's a very stark, intense story. A bit brutal. Lots of shame. Riding that line between love and hate. That's another part of why I like nature imagery; all of the beauty and brutality of the world around us." And I feel like it came through! It feels very simple and natural. It looks a bit like fallen, fragile flowers and a snake slithering along, a sort of unsuspecting seduction. (Sorry, I sure love to read into things!)
Honestly, Mari was such a joy to work with. She has such a good eye for design and color! And such clear skill. She was easy to talk to, happy to communicate, and best of all so kind and patient and sweet! And in the end, she crafted something truly priceless.
Contempt is truly the story of my soul. (If you follow me, you're probably tired of hearing about it LOL.) The concept has lived with me for so long. Writing it was a true labor of love. Having this piece of it to hang on my wall is genuinely so meaningful. I cried when I first saw the finished product (via email) and cried again when I had it in hand. And again when I hung it on my wall.
It's not in its final spot just yet. A few inches to the right (not pictured) is a Hogwarts plaque that I plan to move to another wall this weekend, so I can move the hoop a bit to the right. But I was much too eager to share this to wait until the weekend! But this should still give you an idea of what my Snarry wall looks like, and will more or less look like after the shift. (The art beside the hoop is the Orange Blossoms art mentioned earlier, by LuEndland!)
Mari, thank you so much again for working with me and creating this truly precious hoop! Also: feel free to make your own post if you like, one with less word vomit haha! You are a true angel, I hope you know!!
To everyone else: if you've been thinking of commissioning an embroidery hoop...for sure do it!!!! 10/10 do recommend.
Also please expect more photo dumps once my work space is all set up!!
I'm a few days late to it, but Thursday was our darling @onbeinganangel's birthday, so I've gathered a few of my Mari favorites to help celebrate another year around the sun. Mari's brightness has brought so much joy to my past year, and I feel endlessly lucky to have her friendship -- she was my first friend in fandom, and has been with me through the ups and downs (and down-down-downs) of writing. Many thanks also to @gryffindorhearts for help in putting this together!
Even when she is not creating, Mari brightens this fandom with her thoughtfulness, her brilliant comments, and the care she brings to every space. And as if that wasn't enough, on top of her kindness, Mari has graced this year with so many incredible fics and embroidery works that makes my head spin and my heart ache every single time.
Let me tell you about a few of my favourites from 2021:
Rebirth (Coming Home) { Regulus/Harry/Draco | 15.6k | T } - like finding a lost part of your soul is still alive, this fic is full of history (in more ways than one), of connection (even in unexpected places), and prose that lights my heart up. I've reread it again and again, and each time, I find something new to love.
Embroidery for Two Zinnias & the Scent of Lemon - lush colours and textures, a pattern that pops so vibrantly off the hoop, I feel like I can touch it through the photograph
Maelstrom, the water told me { Draco/Harry | 11,111 | E } - i know how difficult this fic was to write, but it reads like water, easy and peaceful, like the kind of comfort available only at the most desperate moments
Embroidery for 10:47 am by fwooshy - the neat simplicity of the single-thread embroidery here echoes the neat, spare mode of fwooshy's prose, Mari's skill at visual composition all the more evident here
Out to Sea { Draco/Harry | 3k | T } - the brilliance of this AU shows Mari's mind at work, spinning connections between the HP world and this universe so easily that a 3k fic feels like a novel, some of Mari's gorgeous vibrant and sensual writing
Embroidery for Eternal Silence of the Sea by amortentiaboys - somehow so simple and yet so start, this embroidery stuns with Mari's brilliant, neat hand, and vibrant colour choices
Quick as a Flash of Lightning, Unhurried as Eternity { Draco/Harry | 10,000 | E } (with art by @babooshkart) - there aren't quite words for this fic, because it feels like coming home and being known; Mari has crafted a gorgeous sense of watching what it means to be loved and learning to love yourself from the act of watching
Embroidery for oxygen by Maesterchill - the subtle inclusion of the smoke here in three-dimensions makes this embroidery pop, I love Mari's creativity when it comes to embroidered material, and this is a perfect example
heavy { Draco/Harry | 6.5k | E } - when Mari was writing this, she kept complaining that it was getting longer and longer, and I kept saying "yes please" like the rotten enabler I am, and dear god, when I tell you I was unprepared for the level of scorching this piece reached... I am still a burn mark on the earth as I write this post
Embroidery for Unseen by jackvbriefs - when I think of Mari's embroidery, this is the first one I picture, every time. the water, the lighthouse, the bridge, the rocks, each done to beautiful perfection
Develop, Stop and Fix { Draco/Harry | 15,000 | E } - i love reading a fic and getting to see through it to the author's passion; mari's love of art shines in this fic, shines in her affection for her characters and for their affection for the craft, enlivening an already rich story even more
Embroidery for The Brightest Witch of Her Age by julcheninred - from the moment I heard about this commission to the time I saw the finished piece, I was starry-eyed over it; Mari's stunning use of colours and gorgeous textures in the flames carries my eye back and forth across this piece
Petrichor, Pineapple and Pomegranate { Sirius/Remus/James | 6.2k | E } - One of the things I love best about Mari's smut is her capacity to craft such distinctive characters as she does it, and this fic is one stellar example of it, with a bare look at Sirius, at Remus, at James, and even at Lily, all woven through with Mari's burning-hot high-quality smut writing
Of course, I can't talk about Mari's brilliance without touching on her Microfics -- 2021 and (micro)kinktober here, each 50-word entry a stunning demonstration of Mari's handle on the language. And honestly, I'm re-reading over this post and bemoaning all the fics I haven't rec'd on here (A Care To Fill The Vessel Of Your Heart, Overground/Underground, An Essay On the History of Unprincipled Desire, seeds (and so many kinkuary, my god)) so you may be best off just heading over to Mari's Ao3 and feasting for yourself.
Exquisite custom embroidery commissioned from @onbeinganangel for my fic The Brightest Witch of Her Age.
Mari, this process was a joy, from the development of the design through the selection of colors and the stages of creation of the final stitchery. Thank you so much for the care you put into every step. This beautiful work is going on the wall in my art room, where I can be inspired by it every day. I’m so lucky to share a fandom with you! Thank you, beyond words, with so much love!

When Hermione’s sobs levelled out into exhausted tranquility, Viktor asked softly, “Was it your first Dark magic?”
Hermione put her arm over her face. “No.”
“No?” Viktor nudged her.
She peeked out. “Do you really want to know?”
“Well, now I am curious.”
“I’ve been casting the Blue Flame since I was twelve.”
Viktor chuckled. “That would be impressive and alarming.”
Hermione flashed him a small, nervous smile.
His eyes widened with disbelief. “Nooo. You definitely did not learn that at Hogwarts.”
“Not in a class. An older student left a book from the Restricted Section of the library on the reshelving cart and I picked it up.”
“But the Blue Flame is the first part of—”
“I know.”
“It is for—”
“I know.”
“Did you cast the whole spell?”
“No! Of course not.”
“What made you cast the flame, then?”
“It was the illustration on the cover of the book. It was...pretty. And the spell for the flame alone was part of a decorative page near the beginning of the book.”
Viktor swore floridly in Bulgarian.
Can I send a love letter to Bea (@amortentiaboys) and Mari (@onbeinganangel) for all the work they do with @drarrymicrofic ??? Like, they make graphics and post prompts TWICE A WEEK and then they take the time to read them all, leave amazing comments in the tags, and reblog them.
Some days I can barely function as a human, and they're over here just going all out: collecting and distributing prompts and support and love and it's honestly such a beautiful gift they have given us all.
Thank you both so much
Ahh such a heartwarming note to these two fandom icons! So true, @amortentiaboys and @onbeinganangel deserve the biggest kudos and gratitude for their restless work bringing so much joy to the fandom. The drarrymicrofic is hands down the best and most creative event I’ve seen recently, it’s a brilliant way to promote short form while highlighting new authors and the most diverse tropes. We’re so lucky to have these two in our fandom, thank you lovelies!!!
