Book #3 is Once Ghosted, Twice Shy by Alyssa Cole because I have been in a huge romance mood for the last few months and I really enjoyed this novella. . . . . . . second chance romances?sweet/feel good stories staring queer women of color? May wrap-up! Nine is respectable I guess, but I am disappointed I didn’t manage to finish either of two books that I was SO CLOSE on. Bigger pile for next month! Honestly, I blame Duolingo. Experimenting with longer fringe — what do you think? . . I don’t read romance much these days (though I definitely read stacks and stacks in them back in the day), but I’d seen this book all over social media and couldn’t help but be curious. Easy impulse decision when I saw it on the new books shelf at the library. I found it charming. I was already loving the rich colors on the cover, but when I discovered that the character Fabiola is a jewelry designer, well, earrings had to happen. . . $42, DM to claim.
