Henry sat at a table in Granny’s and peeked over a menu at the booth where the woman sat. He had managed to work out that before the curse she had been the princess from the princess and the pea and had snuck a marble under her seat cushion when she had gone to the bathroom. Now he was watching her to see if she would notice the marble or not.

As he settled down at the counter at Granny’s for the morning, Jefferson glanced around the establishment. Usually, not many people showed up this early. He enjoyed the silence, typically. But this morning, he was not alone. Sitting a few stools down was a woman he’d never seen before. Attempting some kind of polite behavior, he decided to at least extent a hello. “Good morning,” he said, a hint of a smile touching his lips as he looked over at her. “I don’t think I’ve ever seen you around here. I’m Jefferson.”

Emma had invited Mona over to watch a movie and somewhere during the middle of it Mona had rested her head on Emma’s shoulder. Emma smiled down at her and brushed her hair back. In a moment where she was completely overcome with the other woman’s beauty Emma leaned down and pressed a soft kiss to Mona’s lips. She pulled back after a moment, realizing that she had just kissed her friend. “I’m sorry.” She blushed and looked back to the tv.

“Wait, wait, wait.” Emma giggled and pulled Mona back to her when she tried to leave without kissing her goodbye. “It’s customary to kiss your date good night when you drop her off.” She cupped Mona’s cheek with one of her hands and leaned in to kiss her sweetly.
