I will admit that when I received a copy of Ondt Blod‘s latest album to review, I was excited. Not only was the band Norwegian, meaning there would be a tinge of Scandinavian rock in their music; but, the album comes with a strong political message. i love this band
Ondt Blod (that’s “Evil Blood”) from Kirkenes / Tromsø, Norway (aka way the fuck up north), are streaming their entire debut full-length on Soundcloud. I saw these guys a couple years ago and while I dug ‘em then, kind of a more straight punk thing, they now sound considerably different. I hear some shades of the first couple of Haust records (rad!), a little bit of Kvelertak (seemingly unavoidable over here right now) and maybe some Gallows or something. There’s also some vocal sassiness, some WTF melodic-punk spots here and there too, but overall pretty cool.... Especially the parts that remind me of old Haust. (loyalbloodrecords)
