i think i've settled on a dissertation field site.
Tasmania.
I think it has everything in which I'm interested in spades, and possibilities to work in hauntings and ghostly matters a la avery gordon and temporality a la Freeman, hardcore postcolonial critiques, assemblage theory, perhaps even necropolitics, all that sexy somatechnics stuff. infrastructures of whiteness. and then that straightforward political ecology stuff, just so, you know, I don't stray too far from my, uh, discipline.
