One Climb for Kenya
The 2014 Whistler Water One Climb is coming up on Saturday, June 14th! Be sure to sign up, reach out, wear blue and ‘flood’ the Grouse Grind in support of Free The Children’s special project in the Kenyan community of Kipsongol. It’s important to know who we’re fundraising for, and why. Kipsongol is a small Kenyan village of 2,000 people – including 700 children. On a daily basis, the community lacks access to water. As a result, women and children must travel 15 kilometres each day to retrieve water from an unclean river source.
With your efforts, we’re going to raise money to help fund a special water project in the community of Kipsongol. Because of you, mothers will be able to stay home with their babies, children will be able to go to school and food can be grown to help keep a thriving community healthy. Isn’t that something to feel good about? Be part of the change: register now. Remember, 100 percent of your registration fee goes towards your fundraising goal.
