An introduction to indy wrestling —
Our life in the indy scene of British wrestling has only recently begun. Our first show was Fight Club: Pro - Project Mayhem VI. By the end of the night, bank accounts were empty and arms were full of merch goodies! We vowed, from that day on we would do our best to attend every Fight Club: Pro event possible. This saw us at Day of the Dead and with tickets booked for Infinity. Though to date we have, so far only been to five events altogether, we've managed to see a plethora of brilliant British wrestlers perform. Family days out have become trips to Mansfield for HOPE wrestling where the likes of Aussie open, CCK, Jack Sexsmith, Kip Sabian, Eddie Dennis and Chief Deputy Dunne have grown to be clear favourites. That's not to forget the sheer brilliance of Flash Morgan Webster, Mark Haskins and Cara Noir for a number of reasons. Someone who really wowed us the very first time we saw them wrestle, was Omari. By now you should all know who we’re talking about; but if you don’t? You’re seriously missing out! The 21 year old has quickly made his mark on the wrestling scene with his shining in-ring presence, his perfected move set and his catchy theme song that’s certain to get everyone dancing - mark our words, he’s going places. Another wrestler who has fast become one of the UK’s biggest talents (and a personal favourite of ours), is Millie McKenzie. You can easily call her a Suplex sensation and having recently made her debut at Progress, the 17 year old has a very, very bright future ahead. All in all, the British wrestling scene is nothing less than golden. The wrestlers and fans alike turn into a tight knit family and no matter which promotion’s show you attend or who is on the card, you are 110% guaranteed to have a fantastic time.
