Ah, she didn’t find herself in the Golden Ward very often. But the promise of a free gift card seemed to lure her in....
.... Becoming powerless in this place certainly turned her into even more than an old woman.
She had her dress lifted up to her knees as she ran back and forth, much like a chicken without a head. It was probably funny, seeing someone in such dignified attire looking so desperate and unsightly.
“Hoh...!! Come back, now!!”
Just as she thought she finally captured a snowflake, it slipped out of her delicate hold. In her confusion, Virgilia tripped over her dress and toppled over onto some unsuspecting bystander. ... Whatever they were both carrying must have flown out to the side when she crashed into them.
“Some nerve, running away like that....! I’ll catch you for sure next time!! O-Oh-hoh-hoh...!!”
Ah, she didn’t notice the destruction she caused at first. Her elbow slammed into the chin of that person as she shook her fist at the escaped snowflake.
“W-Weh? Someone...” Ah, so she finally noticed. “I apologize....! It seems I got so wrapped up in what I was doing, I forgot about my surroundings.... Is your face okay?”
She leaned in closer to check for any injuries.
“... Oh, you look like you haven’t slept in weeks!”

Normally, he would be overjoyed to see the little black cat. Lucian adores felines of all shapes and sizes, having always wanted a pet of his own, and having always been refused for as many reasons could come to mind. So, naturally, his instinct is to scoop it into his arms, perhaps mercilessly pet and bother the creature until it retaliates.
But then there’s that eerily familiar scent-- not human, not monster, not animal. It’s not quite like the vampires he’s familiar with, but it’s not a normal cat. It can’t be. So, naturally, he reaches forward to lift it by the scruff.
“What are you?” It’s not the politest way to phrase the question, but it’s the only way he knows how.

Percy checked the time on his phone (it was still weird to have one of those) and figured he’d better get back to his home (For Now) soon. It was starting to get dark, and he figured there were probably things that hung out at night in Isola that wouldn’t appreciate Percy getting in their business.
As he wandered the streets trying to remember the way back to his home (Has nobody heard of grid systems?!) when he saw the shadow of what he figured (hoped) was probably a stray cat. Or maybe a raccoon. Did Isola have raccoons?
“Hey bud, I don’t have any food so you should probably scram before something tries to turn you into food.”
