Why is Chizuru smiling in every photo except for her photo with Kazama even though Kazama is smiling?

Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas!  (to those who celebrate, or who don’t celebrate but like Hakuouki or plushies or cute things in general)

This year’s Plushie Tree features Hakuouki plushies from Gift version 1 (Harada and Oni Kazama), version 2 (most of them), and “plain clothes” (Saito in hakama). Yamazaki and Chizuru were special editions.

The Chizuru and Saito plushies at the top are actually my SaiChi family kids from Teachings of Demons - which would have had a new chapter a few weeks ago but for a mild disagreement with Windows 11 that turned ugly.

I don't know if you know this, but Kazama is the same age as Hijikata. The age gap between him and Chizuru is 12 years, the same as with Hijikata.

Kazama is about 3 years younger than Hijikata

Sometimes, I find it annoying how Kazama only keeps speaking about himself when he speaks with Chizuru, like how he keeps telling her how he feels or what he can give her

He even admitted it himself that he is not good in terms of speaking feelings or expressing himself and confessing something that has to do with feelings.

I love Kazama, but what disturbs me about him is that we never see him speaking about human children despite what they are going through. I hope to see him having positive feelings for them unlike his feelings for adults humans.

In one drama CD that is on YouTube, he speaks about the dangerous childhood he had. He says that he was attacked many times by Oni, who feared his power, and he almost died several times. Is it possible that human children have a better life in his opinion? They're still children.

I'm a medical student and I'm studying medicine in a hospital right now. Looking at so many newborn babies makes me wonder why we never see Kazama speak about human babies despite speaking about his own childhood.

Kazama is playing while he is in his Oni form and has sake. What do you eat or drink while playing?

Deep breath.  Repeat after me: you do not need a second Oni plushie. Also, just because something is a good deal does NOT mean you need to buy it (or should buy it because you know what? - it’s NOT just about the money you save).  Deep breath.

PS  I just want a second Oni plushie so that I can dress him up in Saito’s outfit.  Then, I need a Chizuru-Oni plushie (would that be awesome or what?) and a Sen plushie.  And Amagiri and Shiranui.

PPS I’m sure he’s going to a really nice home.
