Homicipher ft. Ryuuka rough drawings...plus some ramblings below! (there will be spoilers from the game btw)
I've always loved otome games but I didn't expect to like this game this much when I first watched a playthrough of it. Like, I didn't even know it was an otome game when I clicked on the video to watch it! I thought it's a normal horror vn game djdhdjvdjd
Anyway, I'm lowkey obsessed with these freaks. I especially like the four characters above so far. And I didn't get to draw them here but I like Mr. Chopped, Bride, Mr. Gap and Mr. Machete too! Also, this might already be expected of me, but I love the MC(Adami) too, they're so interesting!
Since I ended up liking it a lot and I also needed to get these wiggles off my brain, I ended up cooking some not-so-serious AU where Ryuuka gets isekai'd to their monster world. I chose Ryuuka because I know she would thrive there (she has quite the homicidal/murderous tendencies/urges, only kept at bay by her pursuit of knowledge + following her twin's moral compass) and can be a freak like Adami too fkhfmdbdnd so I thought it'd be interesting to yeet her in there!
I can imagine she's initially wearing her standard outfit at first (labcoat + black turtleneck dress), but at some point, it would be replaced by the raincoat since the labcoat would be soaked with too much blood (shoutout to Bride for the raincoat supplies). She's still wearing the turtleneck dress underneath because I don't think she'll fall in the water with those hand monsters, so she won't need a change of clothes for that one.
In terms of language learning, she's a pretty smart cookie, so she'll figure it out quite fast. So there's no problem there.
As for how the whole deal with Mr. Scarletella happened: I can imagine that since Ryuuka is a yakuza boss/assassin, she ends up dumping dead bodies of her victims in this strange but convenient building. Because somehow, the bodies dumped there are never found, which is a win for her. But then it turns out that that place is Mr. Scarletella's teritorry 😭😭 and he thought that those dead bodies that Ryuuka has been dumping to his place were offerings for him ("F-for me?! 🥺✨❤️" type of bs). That's why he ends up obsessed with her like in the og, so now he's chasing her down to get her name...👁️👄👁️ (deja vu...ive been in this place before...i can make a 🐥🍎 au out of this---)
Also another thing I wanna mention is that I firmly believe that Mr. Silvair and her would get along as both people of "science" dmbdmdbdnd but I must admit I need to re-watch and analyze his route and endings more, since I feel I'm still missing a few things abt him.
For Mr. Hood, I think she appreciates him teaching her about the language and him carrying her around when she does accidentally gets chibi-fied. In general, she appreciates people who are patient with her and people who knows when to stay quiet. The same would apply for Mr. Crawling though he's a bit on the chatty side. Ultimately, she also doesn't mind having a puppy-like character like him following her around.

I hope you forgive me taking some artistic liberties by giving her pink highlights (I just figured out how to do the glowy highlight thing again and I wanted to experiment)
Once again lineart went surprisingly well, which yay ✨but the middle fringe gave me major trouble for some reason... Well I figured it out in the end. For the shading I got back to my usual method plus the glowy highlights.
I liked drawing the eyes a lot! It was nice having an exact colour reference for it, normally I just mess around with different shades but this time I could colourpick and draw super fancy eyes which was cool.
I absolutely despaired at the earrings and ribbons though. I nearly forgot them but I realized my mistake soon enough and was able to add them. Which... Ein, I'm bad at geometric shapes and I'm even worse at anything fabric related. Drawing those ribbons was an ordeal but I survived. Please forgive any mistakes because I'm just a humble writer dipping my toes into the art world.
Anyways hope you like her and that I did her justice!

I'm gonna put the OC notes related to this below!
Since we observed that Labubus are generally popular among older women, both Kiyoko and Rinko would naturally fall for these plushies' strange & unique charm. They're genuinely very obsessed with it and would fr fr be collectors.
Ryuuka is just sheep that follows along Rinko's preferences. She likes Labubus because Rinko loves them.
Both Ibuki and Rosa would actually find them cute. (cry-laughing because we only have Ibuki's baby pic to use rn)
Rei uses Labubus for profit, Yui uses Labubus for ragebaiting (specifically Hiyori, Minato and his parents). As a result, their opinions for it lean more towards being positive. Unfortunately, Yui's ragebaiting has collateral damages that got caught in the crossfire (Kurumi & Shiki).
Kana doesn't gaf about labubus. But since a lot of people think that its cute, she thought it would be a nice gift for her dearest cute-obsessed sister. She bought one and gifted it to Kurumi.
Kurumi actually doesn't find Labubus cute by her own cutieful standards. Her prerequisites for what counts as cute isn't dependent on what other find cute. She dislikes Labubus because they're not cute for her, but not enough for her to express that dislike openly. In the end, she awkwardly accepted the Labubu that Kana gifted to her and put it on her bag for display. Ultimately it's still Kana's gift (Labubu or not), so she will treasure it.
Kenzaburou is jealous of Labubus because his wife is obsessed with them. He hates them so bad, but he can't say anything against them and just keeps quiet about it.
The bottom tier characters are just straight up Labubu antis and Labubu haters through and through. The sight of it makes their blood boil. Shiki in particular hate it because its popular with the "normies".
The Yanagi (Salice) rings are important artifacts that are held by the Boss of every generation and their Guardians in the Oniyanagi Family.
Oniyanagi has all eight of these rings in their possession, which are two Sky rings to be held by the Boss and six others to be held by the guardians with each of the remaining corresponding ring attributes.
There was originally supposed to be only one Yanagi Sky Ring, but since the family had twin bosses back then, the material was split to create two Yanagi Sky Rings. At some point, after one of the founders' death, the ring belonging to her went missing and was only found recently.
It can interchangeably be referred to as either "Yanagi" or "Salice", both meaning "Willow". Most members of the family currently refer to it as "Yanagi Rings", while some other people from the Mafia refer to it "Salice Rings".
Some Other Notes:
❖ Kurumi got the Sky Ring previously held by the 9th Generation Boss. While Kana got the Sky Ring that previously went missing.
❖ It's tradition to give the Yanagi Rings once a successor for a position (whether Boss or Guardian) has been officially appointed.
❖ Even at the start of Daily Life Arc, the twins and Yui already has these rings on them. The same goes for the others as well, except for the Sun Guardian position, which still had no officially appointed successor as of that time.

How attractive are your ocs in their canon world? Not how they view themselves but objectively would they be considered attractive by others? If not where would you place them in terms of appearance? Who would be considered the most attractive of your ocs? (Do as many ocs as you wish or you can just focus on a few!)

Hi Butter! This is such an interesting ask that you sent 👀✨ but also a bit difficult because I'm an otoge/joseimuke girlie and it really reflects in the way I draw OCs. So if it were really up to me, I'd put them all in the attractive tier list lmaoooo
But this is overall attractiveness by conventional standards we're talking about (+considering not just physical appearance, but other factors like charm, charisma, atmosphere, etc). After discussing with @amiahoshi, this is the Oniyanagi 10th Gen tierlist we came up with (why is it so crispy⁉️⁉️⁉️why⁉️⁉️⁉️)
As usual, I'm putting the notes/commentary below so it doesn't clog people's dashboard 🫡🫡🫡 I'll be going over the "normal" tiers first.
Attractive
🤖Yui: The easiest one to determine. Back when we created his character, he has always been established in the lore to be someone who's very much conventionally attractive. That is one of the biggest reasons he can get away with getting to date many people (one at a time👍✨) despite the flaws that he has. He's very popular in Namichuu, and even has his own fanclub like Hayato and Takeshi.
Above Average
💰Rei: If it's in terms of just physical appearance, he'd probably be on Above Average tier tbh. But Rei has these special things called Charisma and Charm. He has rizz (maybe too much). The way he carries himself is very exceptional, it boosted him to Attractive tier. This is also a big factor with how he gets away with dating many people (unfortunately, not one at a time 💀).
Average
🌹Rosa: For Rosa, it's more of a process of elimination. She is certainly a very pretty and elegant young lady, a lot of people would have that perception of her, so putting her on Average wouldn't feel right. But at the same, she isn't really on Yui and Rei's level in this category either. In the end, this tier felt just right for her! Plus, I can't help but think that with the way the world is and with her situation, they would look at her in a lesser way. But that discussion is for another post in the future.
🍊Minato: THIS GUY!!! *head in hands* Physical appearance-wise, he'd be on Above Average level. But what is he doing in this tier then? It's the opposite case from Rei's. Other factors dragged his ranking down, specifically his temper and just the way he carries himself (inferiority complex, low confidence). Even if people would generally think he's good looking, they'd take that back once they witness his flaws. Maybe if he showed his eyes more, he'll rank higher? 🤷🤷🤷
🌻Hiyori: Hiyori is definitely cute. But is cuteness really isn't all you need to rank high here. Besides the cuteness, he's quite average. The other factors just offsets themselves for him. He has high confidence and carries himself well, which is a plus. But then, he also swears like a sailor and his temper kind of shortened considerably ever since he got dragged into the yakuza, which is a minus.
Below Average
🎮Shiki: THIS OTHER GUY!!! *head in hands* To be fair, his looks are on the Average tier and his presence in public is something that usually blends in with other civilians. However! This is a similar case with Minato, where other factors gave him a debuff and dragged him down to a lower tier. Where do I even begin with him? Just his emo hair and vibes crosses him out from the conventional aspect of it all. He doesn't really have an exceptional charisma or confidence as well. You could even say that his confidence is on the lower side. He's self aware and makes up for it by preferring to surround himself with cool people.
Special Case
In terms of attractiveness (in conventional society pov), these two are very complicated special cases, but in different fonts. We actually discussed something like this before for Kurumi, it ended up being quite long. For Kana though, it wasn't really needed 💀💀💀LMAOOOO
🍎Kana: She would be put on the Attractive tier, because her appearance section in the wiki literally has "ethereal beauty" included in it. BUT! Something(s) is/are definitely very off with her. She has other people who admire her (on a surface level), but most of them instinctively know to do it from a distance. Survival instincts from the horrors, mayhaps? Depending on a lot of factors, she can be put as low as Ugly and as high as Attractive. It could be anything.
🎀Kurumi: Ah, our charming and outgoing fashionista with an obsession for cute things 🥺💖🫳 *nadenade* Just like Kana, Kurumi would be put on the Attractive tier in terms of looks alone. But the world can just be too cruel and unfair a lot of the times. Surely for the others, the common people would be able to fairly look at the different aspects of their attractiveness and weigh them fairly. But for Kurumi? A lot of people will hyperfocus on the details, that it ends up not being about her appearance anymore. Physical appearance? Charisma? Charm? Confidence? It won't matter how hard she tries to improve those aspects of herself if they won't be looking there in the first place.
