Indian Institute of Technology, Jammu
IIT Jammu, established under the Institutes of Technology Act, 1961, is an autonomous Institute of National Importance funded by the Government of India. Founded on August 6, 2016, it initially operated from Paloura, Jammu, with mentorship from IIT Delhi. In 2018, operations shifted to the 400-acre Main Campus in Jagti, Nagrota, with Phase 1A covering 25 acres fully operational. The Paloura campus focuses on PhD research. Located on NH-44, the main campus is 15 kilometers from the airport for convenient access.
