if you really want me to ask... How are you and Evan a trio? is that a reference to something?

Oh it’s Evan, Elaine, and I. We are the golden trio of awkwardness because:

1. Our uniting fandom is Harry Potter.

2. We are all the awkward third friend just like the real Golden Trio.

3. We are all SUPER AWKWARD PEOPLE. Especially Evan.

We all met at camp and have literally spent 2 months together which were AWESOME but it sucks too because I live in Illinois, Elaine in Texas, and Evan in Maryland. Sigh.

Hi. I really appreciate your openness to debate and other opinions, and I think your dedication to logic is admirable. That's something that we don't see enough of today. I just read the 48 arguments against evolution. I don't have the room to rebut them in one ask, but if you're interested in seeing my rebuttals let me know and I'll post them on my blog and send you the link. (By the way, I'm agnostic and I believe in evolution, but I also believe in a higher power. Those are compatible.)

And of course they are compatible, I just don't see evidence for it. Especially if you believe in a higher power that isn't the God of the Bible. 

While I didn't agree with all 48, (I skimmed over it, but was planning on reading it more in depth if or when I needed it in a debate) I considered the overall message that even if only a few of them were accurate it still would nullify evolution, admirable enough to put it on this blog. 

Regardless, I would be happy to see your arguments against several of them and if they are accurate arguments, (I hope you don't take offense, but I don't really know how accurately or well you debate so I'm sure you understand me not wanting you to refute them all in your mind just for it to be shown that you don't have accurate facts) then I'd love for you to continue. 

But seriously. Don't rebut them all immediately unless you really feel it necessary. I know how long it can take to refute a single argument, so I don't want you spending a ton of time refuting 48 all in one setting.

And once again, thank you. I completely agree with you as far as people using logic goes. Thinking logically seems to be a lost art, and people are willing to just believe what is handed to them on a sparkling platter and not dig deeper to find the truth of it all. Maybe I do it too, but if I do, I want to find out instead of living in ignorance.

hello! me again. uh.. two things; when i get angry i tend to go to my mind flat (I call it a flat because it is a flat), but today after me and my sister had a bit of a fight and i went there, my desk caught fire. and now i can't put it out. and i really dont want there to be a flaming desk in my mind flat. what can i do? also; i'm finding it hard to delete triggers; they just seem to fade into a sort of ghostly grey and then they just wont go... halp?

Hehe, you can call it whatever you like dear. While I promise not to tell  this is the internet...

I've never had such a problem as the fire, and I'm sorry that you have. I presume you've tried putting it out by both throwing water on it (and such methods) as well as merely telling your brain to stop? You could try containing the fire to just the desk, let it burn until it's cinders and just replace the object, or try getting rid of the flaming desk and seeing if you're able to replace it in a more instant manner. Perhaps alter the material so whereas your real desk is wooden, this one is a flame retardant material? Just throwing suggestions out there. If none of this works then you might be better off scraping the palace and building a new one; my gut's telling me an imaginary one might be better in response to a mind as  um...interesting as yours. ;)

As for deleting triggers, try an alternative technique to whatever you're doing atm - though perhaps not fire!

I have both of those problems! A story tall model of my roommate’s head once appeared in my hallway. I never could solve the first problem, but I did solve the second by feeding the faded objects to the head. Try burning them in the flaming desk?

about the mind palace post; the triggers is put in my mind palace seem to take on a mind of their own. for instance, i put two characters there to remind me of something, and when i went back to them, they were snogging on my bed. do your triggers do what they want?

Sorry, sorry. I'm a bad, bad man. Never nothing like that but I do get triggers interacting with each other by their own will; if I tell them to stop it they do so instantly, though I have been shot dirty looks. You tried that?

Question about the Mind Palace: Do you think that in one of my rooms I could have a blank wall, and whatever I wanted to remember, i could draw the trigger on some paper and stick it up on the wall? Or do you think that wouldn't work?

Don't see why it wouldn't; I've successfully used paintings I've hung on the walls as triggers. I wouldn't use it as the only space for triggers, though, and I'd be careful about making sure it doesn't get too crowded, as 'listing things' (such as having them on a shelf) can become pretty confusing as more things are stored.
