autumn just got done teaching one of her meditation classes and despite trying to relax, felt more anxious than ever. she didn't know what was bothering her, really, but she couldn't hold it in any longer. running towards the side of the gym's building, autumn began crying, so much so that she could barely breathe. wiping at her tears, she suddenly jumped when she felt someone coming up beside her.
i played some songs that i wrote for my boss and he really dug them. its nice to have someone believe in you and your skills for once.
sage had been struggling lately, especially after all her levi and drew drama. she felt alone, and it killed her that she felt so isolated, even with people in her life. sitting down on the steps of drew's building, sage flicked ashes from her cigarette onto the concrete. she was never one for smoking, but it was a bad habit she had taken up in the past few weeks. when someone crossed her path, sage exhaled, watching the person. it took her a second glance, but she realized after a few seconds that it was someone she knew. "oh, hey." sage spoke quietly, wondering if they had even noticed her.
daisy had just finished her nightly routine at the inn when she noticed someone was waiting patiently in the front lobby. placing the folded sheets down that she was holding, she made her way over to them and reached her hand out to greet them. "I'm so sorry, I'm the only one working at night, I was finishing up with laundry. welcome to honey grove bed and breakfast. we have two rooms open, if you're interested?" making her way over to the computer, daisy began clicking away, getting herself situated for the new guest.
delilah had the entire weekend to start prepping her classroom for the beginning of the school year. she picked up a few autumn decorations and hung them up on the windows, taking a small break to go grab herself lunch. her sister would have her daughter for a few more hours, so she had a bit of time to herself. when she left to head to her car, she accidentally knocked into someone who was also leaving the school. "crap, I didn't see you there. sorry." bending down, she picked up a few pieces of paper the other person had dropped during the collision. delilah hadn't really looked at the person near her, she was only embarrassed that she had been so clumsy.
sitting down outside of her apartment complex, quinn exhaled when she looked out into the distance. she couldn't believe she was still here, living at home, in the shittiest apartment complex around. sometimes she dreamed of running away, starting over. but when she looked over her shoulder at her dad sleeping on the couch, she knew that wasn't going to happen, it couldn't. getting up, she decided to take a walk around the complex. it was only a matter of time before she noticed someone smoking. whoever it was decided to look her way, so she figured she'd play along. "hey, what's up?" she smirked, walking towards them.
elodie knew it was a crazy idea, but she wanted to talk to her boss in person and see if she could get back to work sooner rather than later. it was against her doctor's wishes, but she couldn't stand being cooped up all day. when she got out of her car to head into her work building, she felt a sudden, sharp pain in her side and collapsed to the sidewalk. she blinked her eyes several times, but couldn't move, and the pain was unbearable.
I have to stop taking books home from work. I've already got two stacks of unread books by my bed and then another set in my car. I'm starting to become an actual hoarder and it's concerning.
