How are you and your character similar? How are you different?
[I’ve answered something similar before, but I’m far too lazy to go look through my nearly 3000 posts to find it. I find more and more similarities between the two of us as time goes on, which is a little bit disturbing to tell the truth, but the biggest similarity is how we both relate to People as a whole. (Thus the capital letter.)
I don’t like People very much. Neither does Moody. As such, we both keep our distance, allowing at most one or maybe two close friends, but it’s how we keep others way that starts the differences. Moody is a large, physically imposing man, and as such he can get away with being a dick 99% of the time because almost no one will ever call him on it for fear of retribution. I, on the other hand, am a tiny, tiny man, and if I was to be a dick I’d get my ass beaten on a more regular basis than I did before going to college. As such, I keep people at bay by being very superficially friendly; for example, I am constantly surrounded by people, many of whom will tell others I’m their best friend, while on a good day I can only remember half of their names.
As far as differences go, at the end of the day Moody, despite hating nearly everyone, does everything in the name of his obsessions which happen to run parallel to his side’s current perception of the “greater good”. Essentially everything he does has the end goal of trying to help as many people as humanly possible, namely through the eradication of people who would hurt or terrorize them. I, on the other hand, am incredibly selfish and will step on a stranger to get something I want.
tl;dr: Moody and I have similar approaches to people, but in the end he only looks like an asshole, while I really am one.]
