She hadn’t been looking for trouble, hadn’t intended to go looking around, but she had been making her way back from the bathroom in his apartment when she had heard a strange sound coming from one of the back rooms. Normally, she wouldn’t have looked, but she found herself curious and pushed open the slightly ajar door to see inside. What she had seen was positively terrifying.
She had suspected that John was going through something, that maybe her friend was just struggling or needed some time to work through things. He had become increasingly erratic, some of his behaviours changing just enough for her to notice. But as her eyes fell on the objects before her, items that looked as though they were being worked into some kind of explosive device, her stomach sank. Heart pounding, she approached the table with shaking hands, however before she could touch anything, she heard John’s voice behind her telling her to leave.
“John... What the hell is all this?” she asked, motioning to the table as she began to panic. Had this been what he was doing the whole time? She had brought her daughter into his apartment and he had been making explosives. How could he have put Lily in danger like that? But before she could say anything further, his demand for her to get out bellowed as it was repeated, causing her to jump, rushing past him out of the door and then out of his apartment.

she stumbled inside , nose and lower half of her face covered in blood while the bandages around her wrists loosely hung , dripping with the red substance . she’s swaying dangerously as she tries to fully take in her surroundings . she didn’t often find herself in jason’s home , but with her keys somewhere by the library , accidentally dropped when she was jumped by henry and his gang , she went to the one place she knew would open the door .
she lets out a whimper , trying to wipe up some of the blood that was now falling onto the floor of jason’s nice home . she hadn’t cried yet , surprisingly , but now in a much safer place , she feels her throat tighten and tears start to spill down her cheeks . her nose feels oddly numb , the pain from the initial impact now becoming a normal thing to her brain . ‘ heh-help . ’
