You're my peach || Todette
It's been approximately an hour and a half since Tanner kissed Odette goodbye and made a joke to Alex about having her back by her curfew, then winking at him while her back was turned. Alex was the perfect person to distract Odette while Tanner set up what he hoped to be the perfect proposal.
It was on the sky deck, set up almost exactly how their first date was, with fairy lights and a projector facing the white wall. The difference now was that pizza and soda was swapped out for chocolate covered strawberries and champagne, and in place of Buffy was a collection of videos he had taken of her and them to a sappy song that she would hopefully appreciate.
It was all finished, and all he had to do was sit back and wait for Alex to deliver his hopefully soon-to-be fiancé. Tanner knew she wasn't into the whole marriage thing, but they were having a kid together, and they were going to be together until death. This was for sure going to happen sooner or later; Why not sooner?
He took the ring box out of his pocket, opening it to admire the jewelry. It was silver, and the band resembled branches had small diamonds in it as well as a large one. The ring was the second most important part of his plan. The first being the locket he got her when they were fighting; While Odette was in the shower, he snatched her locket from her nightstand. He replaced photos of them with a note that read in his messy writing, "MARRY ME?"
All he could do now was hope she would say yes. And hope that she turns up soon, since he was getting tired and unbelievably nervous.
