i am crying thinking about how many times cas has been around dean in the early morning. just picturing him popping into the bunker at like 3am to tell them something but its not an emergency so he pulls up a chair outside dean's bedroom like theres an invisible barrier keeping him from going in. dean waking up to see cas a few feet away and scares the bejeebus out of him.

the canonical implication that cas knows deans sleeping patterns and habits so well that he knows how to wake him up without triggering a defensive response is SOOOOOOOOOOOO much
