Alright, well, I finished the wandering viera/lovestruck man quest and sort of inadvertently started the medallion one, which I really had meant to do eventually anyway, and I got half the team's gambits done for their roles, but my head kinda hurts and I'm tired, so I think I'll finish that tomorrow.

Forget paradigm roles, I finally figured out this side quest and Vaan is playing matchmaker, I'm so excited.

Body type headcanons, Fran, Basch, and Penelo, please?

God, Fran is a brick wall. Tall and slim but with visible muscle definition on the stomach, arms, legs, etc. I feel like she’s not very curvy. I mean she has curves but is not the typical “curvy” shape. Like, silhouette-wise, she does have a lot of smooth edges, and it’s not like she’s rock hard all over but she is mostly compact muscle. If she clotheslined someone, they would die. But she still gives really good hugs.

Just after getting out of Nalbina, Basch is a lot skinnier than he would be normally. Still some muscle, and he starts to gain what he lost pretty quickly, but he doesn't have much body fat. Normally, he’s obviously a gym guy, but softer in some places, just a bit of padding on his stomach and arms. He’s a Landis boy, after all. They have to keep warm. (But make no mistake, under the soft parts is muscle.)

Penelo! Gosh, she’s cute. She’s kinda rectangle shaped and short and has a good bit of muscle from making it on the streets and manual labor for Migelo. Her arms and legs are pretty even in terms of strength so she’s a fast runner but can also carry a good sized load of equipment. I equip Penelo with axes and hammers all the time, so I want her body type to reflect her ability to swing those heavy things around. It’s not very visible though, not like Fran and Basch, so enemies often underestimate her strength and then she can smack ‘em with a giant mace and laugh.

Really, though, it makes me so sad when people say they only played XII for Balthier or that Balthier's "sexyness" is the only thing that had them play to the end. I have actually seen people say this and they don't even say "Balthier's story was the most interesting part of the game", which would be a valid opinion, but they say things like "Balthier is so hot, he's the only reason I played XII!" which is just... kinda sad. And shallow.

My problem with it stems from two things. Firstly, that's so insulting to the rest of the game, the writers and developers and even true fans of it because apparently the game is so boring and irrelevant that you only care about this guy's face/voice, not even him, as a character. Secondly, I'm so sorry that your life is so boring that you can sit through a 100+ hour game that you don't even like for the sake of this guy that you only seem to care about superficially.

PLEASE NOTE: IF YOU DON'T LIKE THE GAME, THAT'S FINE. Really, this is not me saying how dare you not like this game, this is me saying that playing any game solely for one character's looks, however attractive you think they are, is, well, kinda dumb.
