ROTTMNT Human AU designs Wake Up Call

I've been in this fandom for about 15 years (holy shit im old) and I think it's safe to say: YOU CAN IMAGINE THE TURTLES HOWEVER YOU WANT AS HUMANS! Yes, they are CANONICALLY Japanese because they have Splinter's DNA who is a Japanese man, but just because the popular depiction of them is blasian, doesn't mean you have to imagine them as blasian. THEY'RE TURTLES! There's no wrong answer. "Oh the VAs pf Mikey and Raph are black though so that-" NO! It doesn't matter what the VA looks like. We're talking about fictional characters. It matters for April because she's human. I think it's okay to see what she would look like as different skin tones out of curiosity. Same with any other characters like "Oh this is how I'd see her as xyz" sort of thing as long as you state that's what you're doing. (Thoughts?)

If you want to imagine Raph or Mikey as Asian go for it! Hispanic/Asian? Brazilian/Asian? Go for it! Literally go for it there's no wrong answer cause they're FICTIONAL CHARACTERS AND THEY'RE TURTLES! It's not racist or white washing if people see Raph or Mikey (cause they're the most depicted as blasian) lighter skinned because again THEY'RE TURTLES. I'm so tired of people calling it racist when it's not because there's no CANON depiction of them as humans. It's all headcanons. Until it's canon that they're whatever ethnicity, do whatever you want as long as you're respectful about it. Respect is the key word.

Also Rise April/Turtles isn't incest no matter how much you say it is because they're NOT BLOOD RELATED! Sure it says she sees them as brothers and Karai welcomes her into the family, but they're not DNA siblings unless somehow the O'Neil blood got on the turltes too THEN they're blood related. But if someone ships Rise April/Turtles, IT'S NOT INCEST!

Tangent over. I've been having conversations about this with my sister and I just needed to get this out there. Could I be wrong on some things? Yes. But just lightly poke and tell me. Please don't harass me I'm just speaking thoughts I've been holding in for a long time lol. I'm open to conversations though!
