I don't care what haters say, Usopp is one of the bravest characters in One Piece, and he's more than earned his spot on the Straw Hat Pirates. Calling the functionally immortal, demonic God Emperor a spineless coward while standing his ground to protect Brook, despite knowing how powerful Imu is, is a testament to how much Usopp's grown as a character. This is just a warmup for Usopp to pull off something even more badass in the near future. He has achieved his dream of becoming a brave warrior of the sea, because no matter how scared he is, he'll step up and fight to protect his loved ones or anyone else whose safety he's responsible for.

Loki would surely be right at home with the crew in no time! If only he could fit on the ship... :(
Usopp is one of the bravest characters in One Piece, I will die on this hill!!
He had already seen Gunko regenerate after he blew her up (amazing feat by the way, don't know why people ignore this when they say he hasn't done anything in Elbaf). He knows how strong she is. He knows he can't beat her, but he stands his ground against her again. He refuses to leave his crew mate and run to safety. He would have known that there is was chance he wouldn't make it, yet he chose to fight.
That's my brave warrior of the sea!!
One Piece Chapter 1177
Spoilers ahead, but here's my ramblings!
// chapter 1177 spoilers
I'm gonna be honest, I was initially kinda disappointed by Loki's fevil fruit. But the dynamic between Loki and Luffy make up for it so much that I can't help but love them.
And a nice call-back to the time that he fought Enel, only for him to be completely immune to his powers on account of being the rubber-man.
But also, I hold this duo very dear to my heart now. Luffy being disappointed and Ragnir comforting him with some pats on the back.
You got that right Sanji. For a group of soldiers hyped up so much, and defending the holy land, they don't match up to that title at all.
They really are just pathetically cowardly and weak. They aren't warriors, just people with powers who think they're above everything. And it's disgusting.
Also, MY BOY USOPP! While I am sad that he didn't get his badass moment (yet), I am happy we got to see him truly value the people and ideals of Elbaph, and absolutely call put the Gpd Knights for being the cowardly warriors they are.
They really refuse to play fair, and resorted to hostages, and mind-control as well as nightmares. Not a single one of these things could be attributed to their intelligence or strength. Just their sadism and devil fruits.
