She can feel her palms tingling, and her chest constricts painfully. Her heart is pounding a violent rhythm against her rib cage. All the words she thinks of to say are stuck in her throat and she swears she’s choking on them. She closes her eyes, trying to block it out. She looks around for a distraction, something anything but there’s nothing to count. She takes shallow, wheezing breaths. And they h u r t. “I’m sorry–I just-” but she can’t make words happen. She sits on ground, head between her knees.

Creatures outside even the world of strains and kings. This is where the rules came in, that traveling by night was not the wisest of plans, unless you enjoyed being the selected menu of a blood sucker that was.
HOMRA was a well known group of the dark kind, typically prowling at night for the unlucky few trapped out at night. For living in such an urban area they had a fairly large amount of members so far, it only made things more dangerous for those in the city. The age ranged from 26 year olds to the youngest being a girl by the name of Anna, and in that happy medium age was Misaki Yata. He was known mainly for his relentless speed, able to hunt down prey (humans) for miles. It was a life he enjoyed in secrecy, keeping his day life as far from it as possible.
But on nights like these, and blood and hunger was all he that swirled through his frantic mind, common sense and sanity was a rare thing to come by; even if the prey happened to be someone he knew. Dark hazel eyes made out the unfortunate figure of a rather stupid male that carelessly walked through the night streets, unaware of the preying eyes watching. He was slender, no doubt around his age as well… dark hair, glasses. It looked simple enough, a quick attack and a even faster bite and the guy would be out like a light. Plan moving into motion, the chestnut hunter dove down, tackling the teen to the ground fangs ready to do their work and—
