Hazy, faintly glowing eyes fluttered open as the Transference system unlocked itself, the mechanism spinning and unraveling, parting itself to allow the Operator to stand. She held her forehead as she stood, her shaky steps leaving a faint echo in the spacious room, illuminated only by the artificial glow of the Orbiter systems and the strange, swirling white construct that was linked directly to the machine.
Longer missions always caused more fatigue for her mind than was healthy. It was why she had adopted a policy of getting in, blitzing whatever objective needed to be taken care of, and getting out so that transference could be hastily cut. While regaining her senses, she went over her memories of the last few hours- trying to check for anything that was missing. Thankfully, nothing was, at least, not this time. Once she rose to her full height, she took several tentative steps down the shallow ramp that led up to the Transference system. The Tenno walked as if every step was at risk of causing the floor to collapse, leaving nothing but the cold void of space in its wake. Yet, her mind knew that it wasn’t possible- it was just her personal precaution taking place. Precaution that was mainly for the sake of preventing any further damage to her already-impaired body.
Soon enough, the Operator turned and made their way to their personal quarters, stopping with a visible flinch when they saw the display of the Lotus’ helmet. But before long at all, her voice called out. “...Ordis, where are you...?”
