💙: who is more protective?

Kuvira is more physically protective by far. Having grown up in an extremely sheltered environment, Opal isn’t exactly streetwise. When the two of them are out together, Kuvira is always on the lookout to make sure no one tries to to pickpocket her. 

On the flip side, Opal is very protective over Kuvira’s time and talent because she knows how political and business elites (including her own mother) take advantage of their young employees. 

💓: who initiates most physical contact?

Opal, definitely! She loves Kuvira’s hair and can never stop playing with it. She also wants all the hugs and hand-holding and is not shy about initiating cuddles. Kuvira is much more reserved about that type of affection (in my kuvopal nonbending au, she moved between a lot of different foster homes as a child and wasn’t used to that kind of love), but Opal is slowly drawing her out of her comfort zone. 

♡: who is the bigger romantic openly? secretly?

Opal is more openly romantic. She plans the fancy dates and makes the candlelit dinners. However, Kuvira also has her moments. When she was at university, she basically memorized the entire romantic epic of Oma and Shu for a final paper (because humanities major), and sometimes quote passages of it to Opal as she’s falling asleep.
