I miss your voice in the songs that remind me of you,

I miss waking up next to you after having stayed awake while we forgot about the day's work, erasing with each kiss all the tedium of the morning.

I miss seeing you laugh when the slightest word comes out of my mouth, because neither the distance nor the years have been able to end this love for which I fell like a child who doesn't think about the consequences, because now the distance hurts, and sticks to my body like a pain in my hip.

I never thought to feel like this, and finding freedom by being by your side, because although I know that to love is to feel free, for the first time I want to belong… 

To belong to you, like the first day, and as it always should have been.
