says the person that has golems with intelligent thought and whose limbs are somehow invisible... but now that I've said that I would like a refresher on gloomversian magic if possible.
Have you never heard of a magical anomaly, friend? Don’t answer that.
*Harold cracks his knuckles, loudly. Yikes.*
All right, listen up, ‘cause a handful of you seem to not understand how Gloomversian magical energy works. I’m no Purple, but I can try my damned hardest to get this across as clearly as possible…
Generally speaking, every Gloomversian magician has what’s known as magical potential, or magic power, and the level of power varies widely from each magician. Every magician also has their limits as to how much magic they can use; some have more, some have less.
Of course there’s anomalies, like the Lemon Kids, but those are so few and far between that I’m not counting them in this gross generalization of magical workings.
*His voice takes on a mocking tone.*
“But Harold! Doesn’t that mean a magician can run out of magic!?”
The short of it is no, a magician CANNOT run out of magic. The long of it? Well. Every magician has a limit as to how much magic they can use at a given time.
*Harold’s voice drops low.*
When a magician starts reaching that limit?
Their wand starts to crack.
And what, pray tell, happens when they bottom out?
*He’s suddenly very cheerful.*
Hope that clears it up for you! If not, I recommend bothering @colourtainted for more information, since he’s actually a professional in the field of magical sciences!
