Long time friend, A.A. Yuen, interviews Dan of The Shrills for Bored to Death in our Inglewood apartment. 'On a steamy Monday night in Inglewood, California, I sat down with Dantana Vanderhaus of the newly-resurrected band The Shrills. The interview takes place in my living room in the apartment that he happens to live in also. It's a long-form sort of nonsense interview that should do well with you NPR types, but probably not with idiots like us, seeing as it's 20 minutes long. Anyway, we get into Dan's thoughts on bringing back a band from the dead, lean, OC-fuckery, movies, and we explore from the inside a very good band who made a very good album and why that didn't seem to ensure any tenure for them.' -A.A.
