"A small inhabitant of moist woodlands where it feeds on nectar and fruit. Note the short and slightly down-curved bill. Vocalizations include a high, thin 'tsit-tsit,' with the second note louder and higher in pitch, plus a thin, descending whistled 'tsee-uh.'"

February 8, 2019 - Orangequit (Euneornis campestris)

Found only in forested habitats in Jamaica, these small birds are in the tanager family. They feed mostly on nectar and fruit, as well as some invertebrates, seeds, and tree sap, foraging in pairs or mixed-species flocks. Breeding between April and June, they build cup-shaped nests from grass and plant fibers in trees.
