Does anyone know if my orchid roots need watering? They say it should be silvery and then you water it. It’s been about 2 weeks so I feel like she’s due for a soak.

Had a bit of a suprise when I went to bathe my orchids today and this one popped out of the pot - I think the long root is dead? The bottom of it looks a bit more alive but near the leaves its fairly dried out and hollow.
The rest of it seems to be doing just fine, anyone have any tips on what to do with it? Should I repot it? Rig some kind of air plant setup?
Help! Why does my orchid hate me
Orchid help?
So my baby got super dry and wilty while I was away. I doused it two days in a row when I got back, and have been trying to keep to a once weekly watering since then. Also rearranged it in its pot since it was p much falling out.
It’s got new growth: two new leaves coming off of an old spike, and the new leaf and root it started in fall are still growing. Only thing is, it hasn’t really perked up, just continued to be super floppy. I’m worried about overwatering it, but idk how to find the right balance and get it nice and perky again.
It’s a phalaenopsis btw.
Does anyone know of any people or resources for orchid sickness? I've tried searching for some information on an unfortunate orchid of mine, but I can't find anything that fits its symptoms entirely.
So I got this orchid as a gift in March and I think it needs to be repotted. I have orchid mix for when I do repot it but I'm not exactly sure how to go about doing so. Do I wait till the flowers die to repot it? How do I get it out without damaging the roots? I really don't know much about orchids so if you have any tips or tricks I would love to hear them.
since all of the flowers fell off of my Orchid plant do i have to cut the spike down to 2" to let a new one grow?
