Consequences
With rules, sadly, comes punishment. The following is the system in place to deal with rule breaking:
Please be aware, just because a mod spoke with you, that does not mean you have a strike or offence. It could mean we see reason for concern and wish to avoid a situation that could lead to action. Mods will let you know if they are approaching you for a(n) strike/offence.First Offence - ( First Strike ) Two mods PM the member and discuss what they did, why it is wrong, and how they can improve their behavior. The member should make an agreement to do better. (Make note this occurred)
First Offence - ( First Strike ) Two mods PM the member and discuss what they did, why it is wrong, and how they can improve their behavior. The member should make an agreement to do better. (Make note this occurred) Second Chance - voted for by the Royal Guard
Second Offence:
a. Second Chance - ( First Strike Extended ) If the offense is not found worthy of a suspension, an additional meeting may occur. Two mods will PM the member to remind them of the agreement and work together again to improve. (document solution) (if the offense was found severe enough, the member will receive the Second Strike)
b. Second Offence - ( Second Strike ) Suspension. Two mods explain the reason for the suspension. Depending on severity, the suspension will last 3 days to 2 weeks. To return, the member must present a plan on how they will improve their behavior that the mods will accept. The plan should be thought out and address the issues presented to them when they are informed of their suspension. (document)
Third Offence - ( Third Strike ) (This suspension will only occur if the Mods vote and decided that, based on lack of severity and/or situation of the offense, an additional chance should be provided.) Two mods will explain that this is the last chance, review past offenses, and give any final encouragements that the member can do better. Depending on severity, the suspension will last 1 week to 1 month. In order to return, the member must have an updated/improved plan for improvement to present to a mod to be approved. (document)(edited)
Ban - Member will be talked to by as many mods as are free. Explained what they have done. Documentation is gone over. After which, the member will be banned. (This is the last and most unwanted of all options. Only in the most extreme of cases, Admin, and only the Admin, hold the right to skip the strikes for a ban. The reasoning will be explained to the ex-member, and can only be taken back by an admin. Asking, begging, or confronting a mod will get you nowhere. This is a decision Admin do not take lightly, as we really just want the server to be full, lively, and a place of fun and free from worry.)
