Biography:
A little party never killed nobody, but it certainly tried with Caradoc Dearborn.
Born with a silver spoon, he was happy to keep it in his mouth growing up-- though he was raised mostly by help, a consistent rotation of new hands and faces, Caradoc was such an agreeable child that he found very little trouble acquiring whatever piqued his interest at any given moment. He grew into an agreeable teen who’s greatest quest in life was the high that could only be delivered via thumping bass and champagne poured directly in his mouth.
In short, Caradoc Dearborn was loved by most-- good natured, charming, endlessly complimentary in all things from his flirtatious winks to his genuinely engaging questions. He found that the more people thought they knew you, the less they actually tried, and he wasn’t in the business of sacrificing his time for something as trivial as intimacy. He left Hogwarts with his head held high (nursing a massive hangover) and stumbled into the endlessly glamorous career of wiping tables and serving beers at the Three Boomsticks... If he was spending as much as he made in the wee hours of the morning only the register could tell.
He found the Order like he found most things, though a friend of a friend. There was something punchy about a secret club, illicit meetings, being part of saving the world. It was just the sort of intrigue and desirability that Caradoc craved. But with his acceptance into the Order came the rules-- and rules don’t wear well on boys who have never had them before. What he thought was going to be fodder for his next captivating tale became and an ever increasingly more complicated web of oaths, half truths, pressure, and things that just... really harshed his mellow. It wasn’t that Caradoc was a bad guy, but he had never really put stock into thinking about what it meant to be a good guy-- and with every passing day he is becoming less and less sure of the path that he’s being taken on.
