Had a dream about there being a local zoo-ish thing called "Teco's Place." It was hardly a zoo, though, because only one species lived there: some kind of monkey, like a slightly bigger, shaggier, whiter Japanese macaque. A real-life yeti, perhaps?
Teco lived in a nice-looking-but-a-bit-small outdoor enclosure with the troop he led: mostly females. He'd apparently been living there since 1976 (making Teco at least 50!). The zoo was kind of crappy and small, too, as it was only his enclosure, a viewing area for said enclosure, a couple of rooms for birthday parties, a rack of cheap merchandise, an arcade machine to play a likely-sensationalized version of what Teco's life would be in the wild, protecting his territory from... wolves and mustangs?
In the dream I enjoyed going there as I liked watching Teco and his troop and playing the game. A lot of animal activists were against the place and I couldn't blame them, but the staff seemed to know and care a lot about Teco's species, whatever it was, despite the run-down condition of the building. My biggest personal gripe with them was that even though they claimed to be animal experts, they also had a free-roaming cat.
