Barely there || Orfila || re: kouki, anyone
It was actually not hard to miss out on Orfila standing there, considering how quiet he was, simply nodding along Margaux's few words and paying attention to whatever was going on. Completely unphased by the murder, his intention of being useful was close to zero, as it seemed... Trivial, in his eyes. Someone else had to figure it out, his time was better spent elsewhere. After Kouki spoke, though, he turned to him.
"A treat or two? If you are so sure of the murderer... I see no point in hiding. But I could very well provide such treats, depending on what they are. Prolonging such bothersome activity such as a trial is, at the very least, futile."
A bit after, he made a pause, clearing his throat. All his voice was quite muffled due to the mask, but it was loud enough so people could hear it - regardless, the toxicologist lifted his hands in front of him.
"Also, my hands are not fit if anyone quite possibly wondered. Alas, I have an alibi, I stood with Margaux the whole time. I sincerely apologise for my complete lack of participation, but I merely have nothing to offer. 'Tis preferable to be useless than to mislead you in such an imperative activity... But my innocence is undoubtedly legitimate."
