hello a third time. that all sounds good to me! my final suggestion would be to perhaps put a limit on apping the recently deceased? so, people like terry pratchett, george michael, or prince. anyway, i'm excited for the site and already thinking about a potential character. hope to see you guys around.
yes, we definitely were planning on putting a limit like that on board in order to avoid any sort of awkwardness, and allowing some time to pass since somebody’s death before allowing them to be appable!
i am super excited to see in which direction you decide to go & we will definitely come up with sort of teasers and sneak peaks into the whole world building as we go. thank you so much, again, for your asks and we hope to see you on board once it’s up and running <3!
hello again! thank you for answering. if canon authors are exclusive, allowing recent living authors (ex. neil gaiman) would of course open up more OCs. however, this might also make some people uncomfortable. in the end, most of the characters are based on japanese writers, so it's not as though there aren't any left for those who wish to make their own characters. just my take on it!
oh yes, definitely; people will be able to pick an author from any continent around the world, so creating an oc based on an author shouldn’t be too much of an issue! (there are definitely plenty of options out there!)
manteia and i talked about this topic for a little while, and we definitely do see how playing any recent living authors/artists could bring discomfort to some potential members. in this regard, we thought of proposing to allow only living authors/artists that were born before, say, 1980. which could exclude some relatively young stars around the world i.e. miley cyrus, justin bieber, etc., but still allow george r.r. martin or j.k. rowling to be made as an oc. how does this sound to you? (or to anyone else who would want to send us an input! please feel free to <3)
