Burns Forrest’s Background (+Lucky Foot’s)
Burns was born in the Pacific Ocean and moved to the same area as Lola: Chesterfield Square. His parents and him lived in a pond community in the area. Throughout their time at school, they were inseparable and did almost everything together, until one day in 7th grade she was pulled from school and moved away.
While Burns knew that she was starting to become a bit of a celebrity, he still had his worries about her disappearance. While being her friend, he had his suspicions about how she was being treated by her father.
Fast forward to college, while pursuing a culinary degree, he met his future husband (not officially yet because of the time) Lucky Foot. Lucky Foot was also trying to get a degree in culinary. While on a date, they found a showing of Lola’s first movie where she had a more prominent role. To promote the movie, the actors were doing a small tour around the country, with one location happening to be in their area.
(Lucky was born in Miami, Florida. He can not return to Florida for unknown reasons.)
Burns and Lucky were able to find the actors, but they were stopped by Lola’s dad who was her manager at the time. Later on in the night, they were able to find Lola’s trailer. They were able to catch up for a few minutes, but once again they were driven out by her dad, who this time threatened them with a restraining order.
Years down the line, Burns and Lucky opened a restaurant with the name Overtop Pacific. The main purpose was to help Aquatics eat “above land food” more easily. The food was basically more hydrated than the original meal, and in the restaurant, it also serves Aquatic food as well. Burns became the Head Chef and Owner, while Lucky became the Co-Owner and a waiter because he liked talking to the customers.
Because Burns still thought about Lola and wanted to follow her career, he made sure to go see all of her movies and sat down for each premiere of Batty Banter alongside Lucky.
One day, when trying to find new restaurants to go to, Lola and Molly found their way to the Overtop Pacific. After catching up and introducing Molly, the Batty Banter crew are all now regulars at the restaurant.
Lara Peabody’s Background
Lara was born in a primary Christian Suburban in Texas with her parents and her sister. Her parents met in India and moved to the US shortly before the siblings were born.
Throughout her childhood, Lara knew that something was not fitting together. To her family and the town, she was known as “the ideal son” because of her status in school. She was the typical jock teenager who was a star player on the football team. However, Lara was convinced by her father to play for the team because it was “the most manly and American thing a guy could do.” In secret, however, Lara wanted to get into Cosmetology, but she was confused by that thought because of how she was raised. When Lara was little though, she used to give her sister’s dolls makeovers.
A few days after Lori—Lara’s sister—was blamed for using their mom’s makeup, she caught Lara crying in the bathroom because she needed to be in there to get ready for a date. After they talked it out, Lori ditched her date so she could have her first sister hang out with Lara.
After Lara graduated from her cosmology school, she moved away to California in order to have a chance to work with top level stars and to get away from her father. It was very hard for Lara to keep or have a job. Because she couldn’t change her documents at the time, as soon as her gender came up, she was turned away immediately. However, she was able to keep a job at a walk-in salon, but she wasn’t happy.
One day after needing a trim in a hurry, Lola showed up in Lara’s salon. While the other workers tried to put Lara down so that they would be chosen for the cut, Lola went straight to Lara. After being impressed with the speedy timing of the hair cut, Lola gave Lara her card so she could interview for a position.
After becoming part of the crew as the Makeup and Hair Stylist, Lara learned that back at home her parents divorced and her mother/sister moved to California to support her. Not only that, but later on, she got in a relationship with the show’s costume designer, Malia Tusko.
