Walking down a cleared-out path

Staying in the lines never stepping out

Only seeing what lies straight ahead

Blinded by only knowing this route

Afraid to be different

Not seeing what’s around me

To scared to place one foot out of the lines

Stopping, listening to the happiness all around

Looking ahead the happiness isn’t there

That moment changes it all

Leaping from the precut road of life

Running to make your own pathway

Taking life into your hands

Carving out your own journey on the road
