People say that ACOTAR is a feminist story about female empowerment, but the Bat Boys saving Feyre is more of a fan favorite scene than the Valkyries saving themselves by winning the Blood Rite against the misogynistic Illyrians to become the first Carynthian/Oristian female warriors ever.

Nesta, Gwyn, and Emerie are now three of the highest-ranked Warriors in all of Prythian. They're the same ranking as the Bat Boys. They are the very definition of feminism and female empowerment.

Not including the fact that Nesta took on six Illyrian warriors at once and won... after an entire week of being worn down, exhausted, dehydrated, and half-starved.

Balthazar - Blood Rite (chapter 66) 

Anyone else pictured Balthazar as Bellamy Blake (Bob Morley) from The 100?

“no lust or hatred” - this is such a contrast with the other Illyrian males’ actions towards the Valkyries during the Blood Rite (and it speaks a lot on Balthazar’s character).

that line specifically made me think of Bellamy: when he says “You won’t survive an hour on the ground [...],” it reminded me of how in  The 100  they say “the ground” and “grounders” a lot.

I hope Balthazar reached Ramiel and became Oristian like Nesta. 😌

That “Good luck, Archeron” was so cute and it felt like the “May we meet again.” from The 100.

I really want more of Balthazar - his appearance reminded me of Emerie’s chapter in acofas (like an intoduction to an important character) so hopefully we’ll get to see him again!

I just need to know if he’s alive and okay - if he made Oristian.

And if he did survive, I hope we get:

- Nesta + Balthazar reunion; 

- Emerie’s reaction to finding out he helped them + Em properly meeting him (since she was unconcious that first time they met); 

- Balthazar’s reaction to Emerie + Gwyn being Carynthian and Nes being Oristian.

Nesta took down, like, five Illyrian males at once, and that was after nearly starving and being severely dehydrated and being mentally and physically exhausted for an entire week. Then she took on Bellius.

Nesta is a certified badass and totally deserving of her Oristian-tiered status.

First person to kill an Asteri in Prythian in 15,000 years. First person to wield Gwydion in Prythian in 15,000 years. (First Starborn in Prythian in 15,000 years? First High Lady to be chosen by the magic of the land?)

Gwyn Berdara - First priestess to join training. First Valkyrie in 500 years. First female to participate in the Blood Rite. First female Carynthian.

Emerie of Illyria - First female shop owner in Windhaven. First Illyrian female to willingly train to be a warrior. First female to participate in the Blood Rite. First female Carynthian. (First female with Siphons?)

It's so ironic that Cassian admires Feyre for saving their world and killing a Middengard Wyrm.

Respectfully, dear Cassian, your very own mate has saved all worlds by teaming up with Bryce to defeat the Asteri, free Midgard, and thus end their threat to Prythian and any other world they wanted to invade and enslave; Nesta has killed her very own Middengard Wyrm in a spectacularly epic fashion; she's beheaded Vesperus, an unkillable being; befriended an entire other world; became the first female Oristian; is the sole being who can summon, control, and contain the Dread Trove; beheaded Lanthys, an unkillable being; beheaded a kelpie; Unmade Briallyn; is the first person to Make magical weapons in 15,000 years. And that's just some of Nesta's achievements in the last two books. Don't get me started on all her achievements throughout the entire series 🤣

I don't mind Cassian admiring Feyre, but next book, he better worship the very ground Nesta walks on. She may not be a Cursebreaker, but she's an Intergalactic Savior, Pillager of Death, Lady Death, Witch of Oorid, Queen of Queens, Valkyrie, Oristian...and the future Starborn High Lady of the Dusk Court.

Ever since they first met, Cassian has done nothing but belittle and insult Nesta. In the Ember and Wings bonus chapter, Cassian says that Nesta wields the words and the coldness as armor to keep everyone from seeing who she failed and how she didn't care until it was too late, and how she's a spoiled girl. Which, yes, a lot of SJM's couples start off looking down on or insulting each other, but if they're endgame, they usually come to see how amazing the other is, and they admire each other, and trust each other. Cassian still doesn't seem to think much of Nesta. In HOFAS, he doesn't stick up for her or protect her from Rhysand threatening punishment or possible execution. Which tells me that he still views her as this spoiled girl, who just failed all of Prythian.

No wonder Nesta hardly ever opens up to Cassian about her trauma. I wouldn't open up to someone who constantly belittled or insulted me either. Can you imagine how Cassian's going to feel if he ever finds out that his "spoiled" mate was abused for years as a young girl? When he finds out that her parents failed to protect her? That the reason she's so amazing at dancing is because of the abuse she suffered for "failing" at it?

Can you imagine finding out that some man laid hands on Nesta, and then going ahead and calling her a spoiled failure?

A spoiled girl wouldn't have been able to survive being boiled alive and violated in the Cauldron.

A spoiled girl wouldn't have been able to survive being sexually assaulted (yet again), almost raped (yet again), and almost eaten by a kelpie.

A spoiled girl wouldn't have been able to survive the Blood Rite, where she was almost raped yet again, multiple times, let alone become Oristian.

A spoiled girl wouldn't have sacrificed her powers to save other people's lives.

A spoiled girl who doesn't care about others wouldn't have given Bryce the Mask to defeat the Asteri and free Midgard.

Cassian has failed Nesta far more often then she's ever "failed" others, but yet he doesn't seem to care...until it's too late, anyways.

Nesta antis be like, "Why do Nesta stans think everything is about Nesta?"

Because it literally is.

Nesta has been vital to the plot since ACOTAR. She's an Oristian. She's the only person in existence to Make three magical weapons. She's the only person who can control the Dread Trove. She was the most powerful person in Prythian. She almost defeated Rhysand in her sleep. She's the Queen of Queens. She has a connection with the Mother.

The better question is, if antis hate her so much then why are they always posting in the Nesta tags? Why do they spend their time and energy scrolling through the Nesta tags to comment their hate on pro-Nesta posts and stalk and harrass Nesta stans?

Say what you want, but if everything wasn't about Nesta then antis would find something better to do with their day, like making friendship bracelets, for example. If you spend all day long talking about Nesta and making 100% Nesta hate blogs... then she's a vital character.
