okay so i was reading “standing on thin air” by @autisticmidoriyas and this little sequence right in the middle grabbed me by the throat just like Izuku was, not letting go until i drew it out
because tumblr is tumblr, be aware this should be a gif, if it’s still, something’s wrong

for portfolio, could i use my deviantart "featured" folder? that's where i keep my best works/favorites
Of course! I know some people use a .stash or google drive folder but as long as it’s clear and concise and filled with work you are proud of that’s all we need!!
2 for the wip ask game
2- Do you name your wip before, during, or after writing?
Generally a WIP gets a temporary WIP Name as I write it. These are usually descriptive so I can find the file as I'm writing it by just searching keywords for it. Soulmate AU is Soulmate AU, Delia AU is Delia AU, Evilest AU's proper WIP title is a spoiler so I shan't tell you - you get the idea. Some stories get WIP titles that become their proper titles - see Ripley's Assistant - while others I get ideas for a ways into writing - A Whisper On My Shoulder for Ghost Cass, for example, or the name that's currently in the running to be Evilest AU's title. I don't yet have many ideas for Delia AU's proper title, and at this rate I may just end up taking a lyric from Stronger given how much of the fic I've written with that song on a loop.
But yes, this is all to say I usually name a WIP at some point during writing and only rarely afterwards. Once I'm sure A WIP is going to be finished, I generally start coming up with a name that I think fits the themes. Sometimes this will just be a line that I like the sound of, sometimes it will be lyrics from a song I listened to a lot while writing (there's a reason that aside from the initial Ripley's Assistant all other stories in that series have titles from Rag Doll Physics) or a song I find thematically appropriate and sometimes it will be from poetry. On occasion it may be a direct quote from the fic itself that sounds cool as a title and then gets to whammy you when you read it in the story.
Pick a Number. Send an Ask.
man i was rolling up to ur tumblr abt to ask u if i could write smth based off black box and u have a blanket perms statement RIGHT. THERE. amazing. anyways i have no idea how long it will take or if i will ever finish it but you have given me DELICIOUS hurt and recovery is my JAM and black box put THOUGHST in my HEAD
i can't believe the blanket permission i wrote last night because i was in a weird mood proved to be necessary like, all of 24 hours later. gift of prophecy?
anyway YES PLEASE i love hurt/comfort and anything inspired by black box is still cool and also it has been, uh, ten months of me trying to write the black box recovery arc and it hasn't happened yet so you know other people doing recovery based on it cathartic let me know when you finish! i'd love to read it!
i see your Ola Gjeilo and rec to you: Omar Thomas. he's a composer and i super dig his music. he writes a lot of very poignant music. Come Sunday, Of Our New Day Begun, and Mother of a Revolution are some of my faves by him
thanks for the rec!
