No, it's not photoshop- this arachnid really is blue! Also known as the sapphire tarantula, this species is famous for its bright blue hair, which comes not from a pigment but from special nano-structures in the hairs themselves that cause the tarantula to appear blue from every angle. Ironically, this may help individuals to camoflague in the dark crevices of tree hollows and underneath bark as they hide in wait for passing prey.
