i really want to draw mini comics about it but there’s so much of it and in-betweens i dont have that it overwhelms me hhahah
i think i’ve mentioned this before to asks that’s i’ve answered privately to but bokuto is the heir to fukurodani’s throne. he is best friends with akaashi even after the engagement was made when akaashi was 14.
bokuto and akaashi correspond to each other through letters after akaashi was sent off to inarizaki to be wed.
and this scene from the comic i made where akaashi was crying
was him reading one of bokuto’s letters. this is where akaashi gets hit by a serious bout of homesickness and so he wasn’t able to stop the tears from falling.
as you can see with akaashi’s earring, this is well after akaashi and osamu’s wedding and this scene is part of their getting to know each other stage.
when osamu found out about the letters there wasn’t any feeling of jealousy on osamu’s part. he felt it wasn’t any of his business to meddle with akaashi’s romantic relations, as long as akaashi was discreet about it. osamu didn’t want anyone on akaashi’s case about a secret affair. he wanted akaashi’s life in inarizaki to be a comfortable one.
but then when akaashi tells him that bokuto was merely a dear friend, osamu doesn’t address the air of relief he feels when he found out.
there's a whole scene where bokuto visits. an act of goodwill between the nations after the wedding. bokuto proposed to get to know the first prince of inarizaki and the ppl he'd be working with after the alliance through a game of hunting.
but all of it was just a ruse to check up on akaashi and to see how he’s doing and if he’s being taken care of there.
atsumu invited bokuto to inarizaki and this is where, for the first time, osamu sees akaashi smile so freely.
osamu is resolved to be able to have the same smile come to akaashi easily in his new life in inarizaki.
