woohyun thinks it’s lady luck shining down on him when the s-pop channel recording calls for sehun out the day after his birthday. it gives woohyun an opportunity to surprise the other, so he’s in good spirits as he walks in to sehun’s shared room with his present. it’s a pair of reeboks in the younger’s size, a set of coupons to the boba tea place down the road, and a small card addressed to sehun in woohyun’s familiar scrawl. he sets it down on sehun’s bed, whistling a tune under his breath, before he moves to leave, a happy grin on his face.

the note addressed to the birthday boy reads,

’ to our sehunnie ~~ happy birthday again! i know we already celebrated, but my gift came in. so this is to you! hopefully they fit, and if not i’ll take care of it! treat yourself to a nice treat, okay? happy birthday! thank you for being born ~ woohyun ^^ ’

despite having s-pop recording scheduled a day after his birthday, sehun is all smiles and rainbows, still riding high from celebrating his birthday with the members. he’s received greetings from friends and family as well through text and sns, which adds up to his overall good mood. he’s on high spirits the whole time during recording, and the smile doesn’t disappear when they return to the dorms. he heads straight to his shared room, a skip in his every step and sees the package neatly placed on his bed. sehun blinks in confusion for a solid minite, wondering who it’s from before he moves to check the card. the last line hits him right home and has him tearing up a bit.

what did he do to deserve such wonderful people as friends?

sehun sniffles, his cheeks now aching from grinning so hard as he checks if the shoes do fit (it does!), laughing fondly at seeing the boba tea coupons, very touched and happy to receive gifts from his hyung. he wipes the few tears from his eyes before he turns in pursuit of woohyun, determined to give the other male a tight thank you hug.
