also a full view of the bunad for anyone interested
I made the embroidery on the chest, back, purse and the shirt myself. 🥺
The front:
And the back.
I only have a picture of the embroidered fabric, before the bunad was sewn.

Got a bit more done today, the third pink flower turned out a bit chunky, but I can't really be bothered to change it now - I think it's fine, if I just try to mirror it on the next piece 🙏🏻🪡
biggest god damn taboo no one talks about when it comes to bunads.
The more embroidery on the skirt, the harder it is to walk fast in it.
I was literally almost falling the first time I wore a bunad with plenty of embroidery on the bottom.
Biggest life hack?
Use a crinoline. Trust me, I know it will look a little too much like a balldown. But you have the ability to walk faster.
Here is the bunad with the crinoline vs. without
Been a long time since I last worked on the bunad, but since I got a good lamp for Christmas I'm back on it again - tried to organize my yarn today. 🧵
I'm finally done with the veske, so now I'm doing the first piece on the top part. 🪡🧵💪🏻
It is extremely time consuming to do the pink flowers - the purple ones however are easier and made with blanket stitches.
17th of may is officially over and this is what I was wearing this year (yes I have two bunads when I'm done with the blue one) now it's back to embroidery on the blue one, my goal is to wear it next year. 👏🏻🙏🏻
Finished the pieces - now it's time to sew it all together!
Andddd we are working on the back piece now. I have to switch around with creative projects otherwise I will just feel burned out.
Love the pinks and reds on the back piece, such a beautiful motive 🩷
