What sort of power does the Untitled MC have?

The Aetherian Royal Family, like most Royal Families within that world, are gifted by the blood that flows through their veins— in the Aetherian Royal Family’s case it gifts their members with elemental magic (specified to each member).

Elarin, the eldest brother, has been gifted with air magic. Kalyn, the MCs twin, has been gifted with fire magic. Isadora, the youngest heir, has been gifted (or will be) with earth/nature magic.

And the MC has been gifted with light magic.

Hello and welcome. No worries, I only mentioned it once in passing. I can tell you that the RO's for it would be the Gods of this IF and you would be one of them. It would take place while the Titans are still in power, and you would be able to change the war's outcome.

Can you give us a more detailed description of the Untited IF ROs? Only if you have one for them.

Astorian/Astoria: Black hair, that has an almost iridescent quality similar to that of a raven’s wing, falls to just beneath Astorian’s ears and just a bit over Astoria’s shoulders. A tanned complexion, that has a warm undertone, bringing out the brightness of their gray eyes. They have a toned physique from years of training.

William/Wilhelmina: Dark brown hair, with subtle highlights of auburn and gold, is cut short— while still retaining the strands natural curls. Light brown skin, that’s dotted by a few scars, brings out the brilliance of their blue gaze. They have a muscular/athletic physique from their time within the Holy Order training to be where they are now.

Gabriel/Gabrielle: White hair, that’s reminiscent of freshly fallen snow, brings out the golden-brown of their complexion, falling to Gabriel’s shoulders and just over Gabrielle’s shoulder blades. Amber eyes, that sparkle underneath any light, are filled with a boundless sense of keen intellect. They have a slender, almost wiry, physique that hums with the power hidden beneath the surface.

Ilyran/Ilyria: Hair the color of the finest spun gold, or liquid sunlight, falls to Ilyran’s shoulders and to Ilyria’s mid-back. The fairness of their complexion offsetting the almost luminous quality of their green eyes. They have a lean build. Of course, that’s what the Old Texts the cult has depicts them appearing to be— most of it mere speculation… It’s been quite some time since they have actually appeared that way.

More of the plot is in this post here! I suppose I can talk a bit about the RO Cast that I’ve created for it though! (Sorry to anyone that’s not interested in this in the slightest.)

Astorian/Astoria is the MCs betrothed before you were captured— A is the Heir to Aerilon; one of the only countries that can match Aetheria in power. You spent the summers with them and they the winters with you (Swan Princess Vibes). You could choose to have been close, actively having had a relationship with them, or having to continued to be rivals. They’re tall in height, have a tanned complexion, dark hair, and gray eyes.

William/Wilhelmina is a new initiate within the Holy Order, a Paladin, and they’ve been tasked with eradicating the last dregs of the very cult that took you in the first place. It’s actually where they met you in the first place— being part of the group that rescued you. They’re average in height, have a light brown complexion, dark hair, and blue eyes.

Gabriel/Gabrielle is a scholar at the Aetherian Institute of Magic, being well-respected within their professional field but not so much in their more personal one. They’ve been tasked with helping you harness the magical gift that being part of your bloodline has bestowed onto you (one that you’d typically been tutored to deal with.. but… you know… things happened). They’re short in height, have a golden brown complexion, white hair, and amber eyes.

Ilyran/Ilyria is the former High Priest/Priestess of the Holy Order— known mainly as the Forsaken One now. They’re also your own personal ghost; only appearing to your eyes even if the cult that formed in their name wants nothing more than to speak with them. They may be the cause of some of your problems, even if it wasn’t intentional, but they also may be the solution to your coming ones. They’re tall in height, have a fair complexion, golden hair, and green eyes.

Since you want lighter asks can you tell us anything about the potential ROs for Under Black Skies? I think you showed us the ones for the untitled story.

I only have concept ideas for them/their personalities and some of their physical features— haven’t really taken the time to flesh them out like I’ve done for Midnight Sun. (The names are also a work in progress too.)

There’s Caspian/Cassia— the resident Pirate King/Queen; who can also be your ex-lover (if you choose an even angstier route). Though it’s canon that you were once close regardless. They absolutely hate your guts after you abandoned them without an explanation— barring a brief letter.

Rowan is your former best friend, but they don’t seem to truly mind with how long you’ve been gone— all that matters is that you’ve returned. If you haven’t picked up the vibe; Rowan is definitely a Yandere type character…

Another character is Atlas, a siren that is kept alive due to a bargain that they’ll take you to where you need to go. Can you actually trust them at their word though? After all, we’ve all heard tales of what happens to someone that gets caught unaware when near them.

The final, but no less important, character is Noel/Noelle… Your current best friend, or the closest thing you can call one, who also happens to be an heir to the very country you’re going on this bounty for— it being their very hand that stayed your rather immediate execution. Was it a punishment or something more that made them go with you? You’ll just have to figure that out.

There’d probably be two more ROs… but we’ll see what happens whenever I get around to actually working on the story. For now my focus is Midnight Sun.

Speaking of other potential books have you ever thought of different IF ideas? Like before you finally settled on Midnight Sun?

I did actually! I went through a lot of various ideas before Midnight Sun settled in my head and heart, which then expanded on the various ROs/other characters.

The one that was the closest contender? It still doesn’t really have a name, but I still adore the premise regardless.

A basic summary would be that the MC had just gotten fired from their job and dumped in the same day, and, when you think the day couldn’t get any worse/stranger, a stranger appears within your house; spouting various things about having searched the entire universe for you, how they weren’t going to let you go now that they found you, etc. (Yes, this RO is heavily inspired by Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch.)

You’re then pulled into a completely other universe— the multiverse plays a strong role within this IF— and you’re forced to come to terms with what/who you were in this universe, to all of the peoples that react to your face but you don’t know, and everything that begins to happen to you now that you are in this universe.

Will you decide to stay? Will you decide to go? The choice, of course, is up to you. Just have to make sure you don’t die before figuring it out.

The reason I didn’t decide to pursue it is that I didn’t think anyone would find it interesting and that some people might think superheroes were sort of overplayed (I know the same case can be made about supernaturals and academy setting, but shhh).

So who is this Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch RO 👀

I’ll put this underneath the cut for the people who don’t really want to see things about my Untitled IF.

Angelus/Angelina “Angel” Sinclair is the RO in question I was speaking about— I’ve mentioned that they were heavily inspired by the Scarlet Witch, meaning they have her powers too (and something else that I won’t add because it’s spoilers). They used to be a hero of some renown— one of the most powerful beings in existence— who was quite beloved, even if there were some that feared Angel for their power.

Everything, and I do mean everything, changed once they met you, fell in love, and then lost you, or that version of you, completely.

A hero became a villain— even if they wouldn’t see themself as such. After all, they were only doing those things to get what had been stolen from them. Most refer to them as Fallen Angel, or Morningstar, an obvious callback to their name, but it’s also in reference to their old superhero callsign— Archangel.
