Day 6
In honor of @laylaylamode and @thereallordgrape ‘s daily November writing challenges I’ve got a little bit for Visas!
Despite completely diverting from her original plan, Visas is really happy with where joining the Handmaidens has taken her. There are times where she wonders if she would have done better in the Queensguard or not. With her skills she could have made a good member of Oswald’s division - maybe even being his Lieutenant, if she was good enough. It could still mean that her dad would come after her, eventually, but would she had been prepared? Would she had ever been ready to know about Sarasim’s death being faked? Maybe she could have held her own against her father’s minions better the first time. Maybe not knowing the Grandmaster would have been better.
At the end of the day, Visas is just fine with where she’s at. But the longing feeling of never knowing what could have been creeps up on her in the dead of night, only on the sleepless nights where she can’t get quite comfortable enough in bed.
